Spading in the KoL forums indicates 50% is the cutoff. That matches with personal experience (I failed at 30% and succeeded at 50%) so I changed the text to match that. --Xande 12:08, 16 November 2012 (CET)

Doing the quest on a multi just now reconfirmed that 50% item find from EQUIPMENT triggers success, however, on my first try (with 25% item find from equipment) I failed with a 30-pound fairy as a familiar, so it seems that item find from familiars is not currently counting toward success at this task. Unknown whether this is intended behavior. Don't want to update the entry to reflect this until someone independently confirms it. --Xande 14:12, 16 November 2012 (CET)

I just tested it out and the +30% booze drop bonus from http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Brother_Smothers%27s_Blessing did not seem to apply. I believe this means booze drops don't apply --Taltamir (talk) 06:00, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
