- I can't tell, but you could just create 1,000 dense meat stacks before a run and simply autosell/donate those, once you drop out of ronin. So there's no need for extensive item-farming, if that's what you're worried about. --Yatsufusa 20:07, 20 August 2011 (CEST)
- The dense meat stack method is what I did, hence my "easy out of ronin" comment. Also, out of ronin, you can get meat from many other sources like your mall store. - There might be a mis-understanding here - "does not need to be bought in-run" means you can buy it before or after freeing the king. It does not say if you need to "earn" it before freeing the king. So, you can earn it before freeing the king, then buy it after you free the king and get access to 10k from hanks.--Grimdel 05:22, 22 August 2011 (CEST)
- Well, it'd be impossible to "earn" it after freeing the king, but the fact that it stays available post king (and post ascension, according to a lack of flag on the trophy page) would suggest that the trigger is something persistent (and, as a programmer, it'd be easier to track total meat donated rather than meat donated this run, and a separate variable for "has this value ever been over 1m?") --Almightysapling 03:50, 23 August 2011 (CEST)
- Based on Jick's past history of implementing stat tracking, he's probably tracking total meat donated (as you suggest), but doesnt reset the counter on ascension - figuring you'll never donate enough to "loop" the counter, and just checks it when you enter the trophy hut, vs keeping a bool in your profile that you earned it. --Grimdel 09:11, 2 September 2011 (CEST)

Another thing to spade: Is it purely items gotten rid of from autosell, or does it also include the meat donated when you use items such as the old coin purse and other meat-producing items? Ethelred posted on the Mafia forums that the donation of quest rewards doesn't count, but meat-producing items should be checked. (Though, it's quite reasonable to expect TPTB took the simple way out and only track autosell of items.) --Terion 04:30, 22 August 2011 (CEST)
- Meat producing items do not count. I just autosold 990 dense meat stacks, pulled the goth shirt, then used 25 warm subject gift certificates and the trophy was not available. Selling another 10 dense meat stacks made it show up. --Lostcalpolydude 13:19, 22 August 2011 (CEST)
