Talk:Goodfella contract
In the Heart of the Woods: Don looks over the contract. "That will be 21 Meat," he says, holding out a wing. You hand over the Meat.
He then pulls out a cell phone and makes a quick call. A few seconds later, an enormous herd of strippers tramples your opponent, dealing an extremely naughty 56 damage.
Roughly, I've gotten about 36-56 damage, and it was sleaze damage.
Good work, anonymous person. Say, hot monsters are vulnerable to sleaze. Wanna bet the contract summons whatever elemental attack is most effective against your opponent?--Buttons 01:04, 1 April 2007 (CDT)
I think damage and meat are weight-based...a 1-lb familiar asks for 3 meat, 2 lb 6 meat.
Other messages:
- He viciously clubs your opponent in the back of the head with a baseball bat, dealing 7 damage.

I've verified that the damage against monsters is elementally strong (two behind the element of the enemy) against elementally weak monsters, and physical (usually around 18 damage at 6 pounds) against non-elemental monsters.
The drops are also frequent; so far, 80% is looking like a good guesstimation. EDIT: At 8 pounds, he did 30 non-elemental damage to a Knob Goblin Elite Guard.

I've done between 42 and 84 damage (physical) with a 21 lb Penguin Goodfella in 30 uses of the contract. I'm thinking it's between (weight * 2) and (weight * 4), but I could be wrong.--GoldS 01:25, 1 April 2007 (CDT)
I'm almost certain that the formula for meat required is 3x, where x is the weight of the penguin in pounds. Pounds 7 - 11 are showing this to be true. EDIT: Someone else beat me to it, but x is indeed weight multiplied by 3.

Anyone tried this on the NS yet?--Voort 16:04, 1 April 2007 (CDT)
I'm editing the notes, Ambidextrous Funkslinging does indeed allow you to use 2. --Xtingwish 15:44, 3 April 2007 (CDT)
Use of turn
If you don't have enough meat, or if you don't have a penguin goodfella as the active familiar, does it still use up an turn? If it does, it might be useful for statis. --CG1:t,c,e 22:08, 6 April 2007 (CDT)
- No it doesn't. And it looks like someone already added it to the stasis page. --TheDotGamer 10:16, 7 April 2007 (CDT)
Reduced Damage on NS?
It appears that the goodfella contract does less damage to the NS. My Penguin's 30 pounds (not counting the NS de-pounding). Here's a list of damage that I got from the contracts :
First Form: 38, 55, 41, 54, 49 Second Form: 30, 33, 46, 52, 59
As far as I can tell, the NS halves the weight of the penguin (each one took 45 meat), instead of the usual -5 lbs. The contract still kill her very fast (funkslinging is incredible with contracts by the way), I didn't need any other items except the wand, so it would be good for harcore fights where it's hard to get good equipment. And as an added bonus, he'll occasionally delevel the NS
Note: when the NS stops the item, it doesn't use up any meat

Food for thought
This really isn't a "fill the wiki!" kind of question, but in theory, what is the maximum amount of damage you could do with this? Say, max familiar level, funkslinging, both do the max amount and elemental advantage?
For me, that would be 720 (yeah. 720.), but I'm not sure how high we've gotten familiar weight to go. --Santasassassin 17:13, 3 May 2007 (CDT)
- Well, the theoretical maximum weight for the Goodfella is 73 pounds, so the maximum damage you could do with two funkslung contracts against an elemental monster is... 1168. (And it'll charge you 438 Meat in total to do so. Quite a bargain! Well, it would be, if you ever needed to do 1168 damage to something.) --Hogulus 17:36, 3 May 2007 (CDT)
- Fernswarthy's Basement has monsters that would need that much. The deepest monster I've killed there took more than twice that much damage to kill. (And I was no where near leaderboard level depths.) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:49, 3 May 2007 (CDT)
Hog, what if it is a doppleshifter? That makes it 83 pounds, resulting in 1328 damage. This will cost you merely 498 meat. Anyone know if the Penguin is effected by Trav Trousers?
Monty Python Reference?
Does anyone else think that the "trampled by strippers" attack message could be a reference to "Monty Python's 'The Meaning of Life'"? --The 3000th flare 12:14, 13 February 2008 (CST)
- I doubt that, in TMoL the guy was chased by topless girls on rollerskates, not trampled and not by strippers. Unless strippers wear protective skating gear nowadays. --Reapaninja 15:35, 22 February 2008 (CST)
