Talk:Gray bow tie
It looks like the image is the same as for Hodgeman's bow tie, not sure how to link up the image here though... --TiCaudata 05:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Zappable, turned into festive holiday hat . . . --Australopithecus 05:40, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Drop rates for these holiday items have been really weird for me. My main account spent over 100 adventures in the Old Crimbo Factory and the Grimacite Toy Factory, and never got a single one of these items (even with a level 10-15 Baby Gravy Fairy). She is a level 10 Pastamancer in Normal/Teetotaler/Marmot, and was using Weapon of the Pastalord to 1-hit-kill most of the elves and penguins.
My two multi accounts, however, spent 40-60 adventures total in the two factories, and each came away with a complete or near-complete set of these six items! My first multi is a level 8 Seal Clubber in Normal/no path/Wallaby using TS and LTS, and the other is a Level 12 Disco Bandit in HC/Boozetafarian/Blender using MM.
All 3 of my chars are using different equipment, different paths, different moon signs, etc., and each has 1-3 Ascensions under their belts (also all different). Did the RNG just decide to hate my Pastamancer today, or is there more to this?

I think the items only drop on PHYSICAL hits, not skill hits or actual kills. Plus, the physical hit has to be pretty sizable. I've noticed this by doing the adventure manually on my SC.

I'm 1- hit killing them with Saucegeyser (with sombrero) and seem to get more items than when I used physical damage (with 35lb. hound). Maybe that has to do with amount of overkill damage? Over 25% of the monster HP gets you a chance to drop the item, something along the lines of Normal Hobo mechanics.

Smashed into 1 hot powder for me --McHaggis 08:30, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone else think that perhaps the effects from eating/imbibing the radioactive holiday treats from the Advent calendar increases the drop rate when fighting penguins/elves? I just spent 20 adventures with my lvl 10 Pastamancer in the Old Crimbo Toy Factory fighting penguins. She had a 16 lb. Fairy and the Festive Radiation effect, and got two gray bow ties. That's a lot better than the same char received yesterday (which was nothing), but I'm not sure it's statistically significant. --Tallera257 15:41, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
