Talk:Grue

From A KoL Wiki

Does the Grue's damage depend upon the moon phase (beyond the fact that it will not attack without moonglasses if the moons are too bright)? It's a double-dark moon today, and I just noticed that my 1-pound Grue seems to be hitting for 40 damage or more. --Baltar 20:05, 29 March 2006 (CST)

Does this really do (shadow damage)? Or is it really doing Spooky Damage? --Quietust 21:06, 6 June 2006 (CDT)

  • Confirmed a while ago, this is not shadow damage as somebody claimed - it is spooky. --Quietust 12:42, 18 June 2006 (CDT)

Has anybody checked whether the attack is affected by the Crimbo Moon?

eyes in darkness vs. some sort of fuzzball

New to the wiki community, and wasn't sure if this was worth posting into the "notes" or "references" section or not... I noticed the grue looked a lot like a gnauga w/o the teeth, but came to realize it was grue eyes surrounded by darkness (makes sense, given what we know about grue behavior). So asked Jick about it and he wrote to me in a personal communication the following on Oct. 9, 2008: "It was always meant to be eyes in darkness, but I think EVERYBODY who looks at it sees it as some kind of fuzzball."

What do you think, is it wiki worthy? I'm happy to make the edit if it is.
