Talk:Guard turtle
From A KoL Wiki
Turtling rod and turtle familiar are not required to tame these guys. Using the whip's taming skill the turtles seem to do more damage afterwards. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Confirmed to be true. Today I did some math while getting the trophy and here's what I got for Monster Attack:
- start of battle: 166-168
- after one crack: 212-215
- after two cracks: 277-280
- after three cracks: 369-370
- after four cracks: 500
- Looking at this I can posit that the first crack increases MA by 45, second by 65, third by 90 and fourth by 130. That said, I'm extremely unsure what their base MA actually is, since today's data says it to be 166-168, but according to the logs from when I was doing the Nemesis quest (one level and several days ago), guard turtles' MA should be 134-146. Something is amiss. --Gadaree 19:31, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
I believe that the "ninja enough Turtle" line is a possible reference to certain Bad Dudes[1]?--Genghizcohen 03:04, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Or--and this is a stretch--, it's a reference to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. --Flargen 03:11, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Just got the following miss message from a French turtle (after whipping it): "Sacrebleu! It tried to hit you, but you had the savoir faire to dodge, thereby avoiding becoming its soup du jour." This has an obviously French theme, and seems likely to be French turtles only. Ais523 18:16, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
