Talk:Handful of sand

From A KoL Wiki

Multi-use 5 of these, you get a brick of sand. Multi-use 5n of them, you get n bricks of sand. Multi-use 5n+m, where m is less than 5, you get n bricks of sand and m handfuls of sand.

Combat

On use in combat...

You throw the sand in your opponent's eyes, like that one guy in Bloodsport. Man, that was awesome.

Not sure if it's meant to delevel or anything, it didn't stun the rock scorpion I threw it at anyway.

So... what does this do? Delevel? Stun?--Dorf (t|c) 13:30, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

Kittiwake reports a delevel effect of -9. --Starwed 16:28, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

Inventory Effect

I checked, and for some reason the code itself is correct, but the page is printing Sandfuls of Hand. Which would be awesome, if it was right, which it isn't. Can someone fix what it says? I'm confused, because like I said, the code is right. The preceding unsigned comment was added by HikaruYami

  • What exactly are you talking about? It really does say "sandfuls of hand" in-game: "You press the sand into a brick. || You acquire an item: brick of sand || You acquire 3 sandfuls of hand" --Quietust (t|c) 16:13, 17 September 2007 (CDT)
  • Sorry, sorry, I was being stupid! nvm~ just ignore this from now on! (I'm only not deleting this so you can see my apology~please, when the above user sees this, or if someone else feels the need to do so, delete this topic! I'm very new~though that's no excuse for stupidity~)HikaruYami
    • For future reference, a simple "Please disregard previous comment" would have sufficed. --Quietust (t|c) 15:42, 18 September 2007 (CDT)
      • Shouldn't we mark this as a spoonerism in trivia, then?--The 3000th flare 06:54, 4 November 2007 (CST)

Delevelling Testing

To test the delevelling effect, I used a level 19 Seal Clubber (Muscle 345) and adventured unarmed in the Valley, alternating hits with usages of handfuls of sand*. Theoretically, the develling effect should be equivalent to the difference in damage between round (subtracting 1 from any critical hit, indicated below by Xs)

  • Haxx0r: 18X-23-32X
  • Haxx0r: 15-25X-34
  • Adding: 19-26-36
  • pr0n: 23X-32-42
  • troll: 14-19-26-33
  • begz0r: 10-15-23X-29-34
  • Anime: 19-29-38X
  • N00b: 18-28-34X
  • pr0n: 21-26-35
  • Adding: 15-21X-25-35
  • Haxx0r: 16X-33-38
  • Haxx0r: 18-35-42

In two instance, I forgot to hit again (near the end), thus the 18 and 17 point differences in the last two rows.

so, if the function (5-10ML) is solid, i'm going to delete the needs content. if it's necessary, for spading, then put it back up or something--Argus 02:41, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

Multiple Change

It looks like the multiple-item name for this has changed to "sandfuls of hand". Would there be any other effect I'm forgetting that would cause this change, or has it actually been changed at some point? Ruduen 22:24, 16 December 2012 (CET)
