Talk:Hanukkimbo Dreidl

From A KoL Wiki

Stat Gains

It appears to give 2 points of damage per pound when it lands on Shin and 1 MP per pound when it lands on Heh, but I'm not sure about Gimmel. Ideas? --Lizifer 12:38, 5 August 2006 (CDT)

Oops. Never mind. Had incomplete info. --Lizifer 12:55, 5 August 2006 (CDT)

My doppelshifter transformed into a dreidl(29 lbs) and only did 2 damage(per shin). Maybe it doesn't depend on weight?--The Hyphenator 17:01, 14 November 2006 (CST)

From my informal observations from a Chameleon that ate a menorette, it seems to have a maximum of 2 damage/1 MP per pound, but a minimum of 1, since it ranged all over the place. No hard numbers, but it seems about that. The meat also ranged from a tiny amount to several hundred at 40 pounds. --Azimuth 17:59, 14 November 2006 (CST)

Spelling

I've seen a lot of spellings of "Hanukkah" (Wikipedia lists "Chanukah, Hannukah, Hanukah, Chanuka, Chanukkah, Hanuka, Channukah, Hanukka, Hanaka, Haneka, Hanika, and Khanukkah"), but is "Hannuka" accepted? I've never seen that one before. Which should we be using here? --fnord

  • Ah, in the reference section? Yeah, that should be "Hanukkah", and "dreidl" should also be spelled properly. Isn't that "driedal"? --Aardvark 18:12, 29 Sep 2005 (MDT)
  • I've seen "dreidl" and "dreidel". Probably best to stick with whatever Jick's used for the in-game object name. --Prefect
  • I thought the spelling was part of the joke, which is why I think it would be better to stick with the common spelling. But I digress. --Aardvark 18:24, 29 Sep 2005 (MDT)
  • Welcome to the world of transliteration. Seriously, until the MLA or whoever get around to standardizing this sort of thing, any transliteration goes, as long as it looks anything like how it sounds. As a Jew, I advocate using Hebrew instead, but, of course, that's unreasonable and stupid. Anyway, leave it however you want, is the gist of my argument. --Barnaby36 21:17, 29 Sep 2005 (MDT)
  • Given the KoL name is "Hanukkimbo", a spelling that starts with "Hanukk" would probably be best, and "Hanukkah" falls into that category. Of course, I probably should've checked this discussion page before actually changing it... --Quietust 16:03, 10 March 2006 (CST)

Meat Gains

Does anyone know what kind of meat gains the dreidl actually gives, and how often it gives it? --BrTarolg 15:25, 2 December 2006 (CST)
