Talk:Hemp string

From A KoL Wiki

Name Change

  • Apparently, this item's name has been changed to hemp string, but I don't know how to move pages. Assistance? --Drab Emordnilap 15:59, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
  • does anyone know why this change was made? does it have some refrence-ical (sorry at a loss for real words) meaning?--CSDragon 19:32, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
  • It's odd that there's no "minor update" for this. However, there have been a few recent changes without them, most notably multi-use enabling for candy hearts and the message that makes you wait a minute to log in if you didn't hit "log out" last time. Is it possible this item was changed today because of the affiliations between hemp and today's date? --Wildfire393 19:56, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
  • Shouldn't the Hemp bracelet page be kept for posterity?--Manial 03:44, 21 April 2007 (CDT)

Jewelrymaking Change

  • Ahem, this item is still described as a jewellerymaking component. Check the in-game item description for yourself!--Temporary man 15:12, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
    • I just tested, and you can no longer craft the baconstone/hamethyst/porquoise bracelets with this. And you can make new items: peace-sign necklace and beach glass necklace (maybe more). --Riotnrrd 15:14, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
  • Yes, but it still has the (incorrect) jewelrymaking component tag in-game. I'd be tempted to add it for consistency, but I know it's just going to be corrected soon anyway. Good to see someone actually tested that the recipes no longer work, though.--Temporary man 15:19, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
    • The jewelrymaking tag may not be incorrect - in the forum post Jick said that the pork elf stone bracelets will come back with NS13. Maybe the recipes will work again in the future? --Riotnrrd 15:39, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
  • For clarification, yes, we are trying to mirror the item description exactly as it appears in the game. Therefore, as Temporary man suggested, the statement that this is a Jewerlymaking component should remain. Even though it no longer isn't. Just note it in the notes. Also, I tested and this is still apparently a part of the Jewerlymaking zap group, so that shouldn't have been deleted either. --TheDotGamer 23:21, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
  • Yep, it's finally been removed. --Sparksol 08:53, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
    • It's also not part of the zap group anymore, so I'll remove this from the article page. -- Ruby Eyes 13:40, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
The hemp string shudders for a moment, but nothing happens.
