After killing him the Pork Elves give you a reward, however since you bury the reward you have to dig it up in the Seaside Town. It's right next to the Department of Shadowy Arts and Crafts. It will be what appears randomly to be one of the Pork Elf Rewards outfit, Pig-iron Bracers, Pig-iron Helm, or Pig-iron shinguards. There may be other rewards, I only received the bracers myself, others I know have got the other pig-iron rewards.--Bluethunder 17:05, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

I haven't played through many of these adventures, but I've read a bit here and given the mention of the Plague God being a problem for a future adventurer, and the fact that the temple seems to be tied to Cyrus The Virus in the Beginning, is it possible that this unlocks something else in the future? --Phantomreader42 22:41, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

The whole ceremony monologue, especially "Iä! Iä! The time is nigh!" seems to be a clear reference to Lovecraft. In his writings he often used the exclamation "Iä!" (yes, with an "ä"), in similar context. --Alibulibadaha 20:13, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
