Got a drop called "Tales of a Kansas Toymaker", usable book with the description

This is a book about a beleaguered toymaker from Kansas, most of whose beleaguerment was the result of the incessant tornadoes that were constantly popping up at inopportune moments and ruining all of his hard work.

Type: usable Cannot be discarded

When used:

You read the book. The stories of all of those toys being ruined by tornadoes is sad, but it gives you an idea... You acquire a skill: Toynado

Toynado is a combat skill costing 120 MP, on use: You summon a whirling tornado of toys.

Your opponent gets clocked upside the head with a toy train, and trained upside the head with a toy clock, suffering 512 damage.

Also got: bindlestocking

When an elf hobo needs to ride those lonesome old rails, he grabs the handiest receptacle for his meager possessions. That receptacle is almost always a stocking.

Type: weapon (2-handed polearm) Power: 200 Muscle Required: 200 Selling Price: 150 Meat.

Enchantment: +10% Item Drops from Monsters Weapon Damage +25 On Critical: Merry Crimbo! --Boozeogre 04:49, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Any chance these will scale with your stats so that those who are ascending/new can still have a chance to defeat them?--Qbr12 04:04, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

They do not apparently. ANd also, buffing my moxie up (as an AT) with potions still make me not able to survive since they hit me for 360 even when I outmoxie them by 100 moxie... Winterbay 16:38, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

All Conditional?

I just used a yellow ray on a regular elf hobo and received no items. Does this make the Hobo Nickel conditional? (+25% item drop was active as well) --Tsa05

  • yup, that's what that means. if anything had dropped it would mean less, but since nothing did we can infer that everything is, indeed, conditional, including the nickel. --Evilkolbot 20:48, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
    • But hobo-nickels are pickpocketable via rave-steal, which says it won't work with conditionals. Generally buggy behavior? Argus 21:03, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
      • something's amiss. perhaps cdm on the forums can shed some light. worth a try. --Evilkolbot 21:34, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
        • Rave pickpocket no longer works on nickels. --Flargen 23:18, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Difference in damage

I sometimes get hit for 300-ish damage and then other times it's 50-80 damage. The hit message doesn't seem to matter. What's the deal?—Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperDave1989 (talkcontribs) on date

  • Look at the mechanics - all monsters in hobopolis can hit you for 300 damage past your moxie. Regardless of your stats they will always be able to hit you. This one is no exception. Argus 18:03, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
