Talk:Holy MacGuffin

From A KoL Wiki

Would this be related to the Receda Cube in PerplexCity somehow? --Jeram 20:23, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

Is it just me, or does it look like the '?' blocks in the Mario games? --Dmr 06:56, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Not just you. It IS a ? Block. I mean... There's no mistaking it. I'd add it, but I don't do edits. Plastic 22:12, 15 August 2008 (CDT)

Perhaps you could get whoever edited the above text to add it for you. --Fig bucket 16:54, 16 August 2008 (CDT)

I hate to be nitpicky, but the definition of MacGuffin is a little wrong. Actually, a MacGuffin is something which starts or drives the plot, but what it is is not relevant to the plot. For example, in Hitchcock's The Third Man, the airplane plans are classified as a MacGuffin, though we know what they are through the entire movie, and get some specifics about them at the very end... Perhaps a definition like "A MacGuffin is a plot devise of little importance" might be better because it's a pun and it avoids all the complexity of trying to pin it down precisely. I don't think this Wiki wants to be comprehensive, so let them do their own damn research if that isn't clear enough... [/rant] --IpseDixit 00:42, 8 July 2007 (CDT)

uhhh... Ed the Undying isn't a Location, He's a Monster. somebody fix that. I would, but no. --El taco 19:37, 3 November 2007 (CDT)

If it's a non-tradeable Quest Item, how was the in-game plural determined? It's not like the badass belt that could be untinkered. --Pastangum 15:22, 27 April 2008 (CDT)

It was added by one of the guys who runs the Jicken Wings display case database. Their data dumps include plurals of items like this. --Flargen 15:36, 27 April 2008 (CDT)
