You're fighting a hunter-gatherer cave elf

This hulking, knuckle-dragging cave elf is responsible for hunting and gathering food for the rest of the cave elves. He's a little more useful than the hunter-gatherer-hunter cave elves, who just hang out waiting to beat the crap out of hunter-gatherer cave elves. It's a confusing system, I grant you, but keep in mind these guys don't have the most developed brains in the world.

He tries to whip you with leaves, but you convince him to leave you alone.

He whips you with a handful of leaves. You really wish he'd leave you alone. Ooh! Argh! Ugh! Ooh!

He gathers the courage to hit you, but you successfully hunt for an escape.

"You acquire an item: tooth You acquire an item: tooth" -- two teeth possible

He throws a handful of seeds at you, but you avoid the seedy attack.

He hunts for something to hit you with, but can't seem to find anything that'd do enough damage. He expands his hunting area while you wait for him to come back to the fight.

He gathers some sticks and tries to hit you with them, but you stick with your dodging strategy.

He hunts up a sizable cache of pain and delivers it to you. Ow! Ouch! Ouch! Ugh!

You lose 12 hit points.

chances for the leaf are really low, I have phat loot and a 25 pound gravy fairy and have yet to get one, after around 100 adventures. ~russianspy1234

I got the leaf from my first one of these (3rd adventure at the rock)... phat loot, 2x rabbit's foot, baron's monocle, 19 pound sleazy fairy with a pumpkin bucket, miner's hat. Also added (what I believe to be) the fumble message (since it's the only time it hits me if I attack with a seals tooth for 20+ rounds. --J12601 10:14, 2 December 2006 (CST)

• If it helps with the big leaf it took me 130 turns to get it. The first 44 were with +47% item drop and the rest (86 for those of you with a lack of math skills) were with +127% item drop. Sorry but I didn't count the number of times I fought this guy. --Miatog 17:21 PST
