Frequency
With the hat and no spade:
- +5 to +10 combat rate: 0 garden adventures in 60
- -15 combat rate: 7 garden adventures in 30
I'm pretty comfortable guessing that this is affected by combat rate modifiers. Also, it is definitely not on a timer like O Cap'm, My Cap'm, because I once got 4 of them in a row. --Prestige 10:12, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Sowing some wild Oats, isnt that a reference to men going out to "sow their wild oats"? --Ferdawoon 09:21, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
The page for the Octopus's Garden says the straw hat must be equipped for this adventure to happen? How can you equip the straw hat and adventure under the sea? --gwesj 1:01, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
- Because there's an alternative to the aerated diving helmet - Makeshift SCUBA gear!--Denarius 07:18, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Limit per day?
I'm wondering if there's a limit to how many times you can get this adventure per day. I just got my sushi mat, so I loaded up on Fishy and hit the Garden. I piled on +15% noncombats and was only getting this adventure, and never the slimy chest adventure, until I'd gotten 5 fruits (1 avocado, 2 lychees, 1 honeydew, 1 tangelo). Now that I got the adventure 5 times, I'm only getting slimy chests. I do still have the hat and spade equipped. Thoughts? --Ephesos 05:57, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
...so of course, as soon as I write this, I get two more fruit adventures (a carrot and a tangelo, for the frequency data). Gah. Nevermind. I do still wonder if the two adventures are related, though. --Ephesos 06:00, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- For the record, you don't even need the spade in order to get this adventure, just the hat (and the seeds+algae). --Quietust (t|c) 14:10, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Related to the moons?
I was just curious if anyone else thinks what fruit/vegetable you get is somewhat swayed by the moons. Today is full Ronald and i've gotten like 6 Honeydews and 1 Avocado. Other days i get mostly carrots. ---jon
- the rng loves us all equally.
- your sample size is a little vague. if you can say you've got moon darkness carrots a day for two months, then that's probably more than rng love. not doing down your research so far, there may be something to it, it's just we need hard, cold facts. well, mostly, anyway.

Not a huge sample size, but it looks even enough to make me happy. --TechSmurf 00:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
