Talk:Infinite meat bug

I actually came across one when I was about level 5 and couldn't defend myself very well. I had asked the chatbot for meat prior to the encounter, so I thought that was the cause, but subsequent pleas for meat didn't cause the same adventure. -Nathew 15:22, 2 Sep 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

I just encountered one, and when I defeated it, I got a bug (as in, Fatal error: Call to undefined function blah blah blah). Yes, it's a bug with the infinite meat bug.       • D'y'know, I think it wasn't the fatal error. It was a MSQRL sort of error, saying "could not give item to player" or something on thoes lines. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't "fatal".

Any idea how much you'd get if you used a meat vortex against one of these? If the vortex works the way we think it does, it could gather up to 10K meat per usage. Of course, even gaining over 100K meat from one of these using vortices would be miniscule compared to the value of the IDMG. --Quietust 18:28, 4 May 2006 (CDT)

I hit it with just spices for about a dozen rounds to see if I could find any of the missing messages, and I think this is the critical hit one, since it was the only attack that hit me: "It unhinges its jaw and spews a seemingly neverending fountain of meat at you, which hits you in the thigh. Then, adding insult to injury, it evaporates before you can grab it. Argh! Eek! Ow! You lose 6 hit points." Also, I got 28367 meat with a 25-pound lep, Polka of Plenty, and 50% bonus meat drops from items.--Salculd 18:51, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I added the fumble message as it got the jump on me and missed, and I was nowhere NEAR safe moxie. My fumble message was wrong. I corrected it after getting another one. I got 9457 with +5% meat. This means 9,006 meat with +0% meat. I am going to jump to the conclusion that the lower limit is probably 9,000 rather than 9,006. I got 6/2/3 as a muscle class on a non-stat day. 11 substats this time. bumcheekcity 21:26, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
