Talk:Inigo's Incantation of Inspiration (effect)

From A KoL Wiki

"You create a piece of enchanted jewelry. You acquire an item: baconstone earring You lose an effect: Inigo's Incantation of Inspiration (10 Adventures)"

Only took 1 adventure to make instead of 3, I guess it does exactly what it says on the tin.--Denarius 04:56, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

"You perpetrate some smithery. You acquire an item: basic meat helmet You lose some of an effect: Inigo's Incantation of Inspiration (5 Adventures)"

Lost no adventures to smithing. --TimRem 04:59, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

It seems to use up 5 turns of effect for each adventure saved. Also works for cooking / mixing. --Anmbia 05:01, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Wondering if this also works for wok usage. --Pikawss 05:44, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Does not work for wok. --TimRem 05:57, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

There's going to be a surge in wads from crafted items due to this skill, 5 casts * 20 advs per buff with best accordian and jewel hat = 20 free armor craftiness or weapon craftiness crafts per day, 20 batass jackets, black belts, etc. for 3 wads each, just costs some mp. 60 wads/day for some easy/overly farmed items for the cost of 500 mp. --Uzziah 17:24, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

  • It'd be brokenly strong if it were 1 turn of effect = 1 craft turn. Look again. It's 5 turns of effect for 1 crafting adventure. --RoyalTonberry 18:02, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
    • I never thought I'd ever be able to, nor have the nerve to say this, but he's right, RT. 15 turns of buff, 5 times a day,= 75 turns=15 crafts. 15 crafts=15 badass jackets/black belts = 45 wads.If you had a JEW hat it'd be 20 turns of buff, 5 times a day = 100 turns of buff = 20 crafting charges. 20 crafting charges = 20 jackets/belts = 60 wads for 500 mp.Argus 18:42, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
      • Haha, so he is. For some reason, i thought he was trying to say he was getting 100 uses per day. My bad. --RoyalTonberry 19:08, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
      • And let's not forget the Ultimate Legendary Epic Weapon increases it to 20, or 25 with JEW hat, so 25 crafting charges per day. --Jimfromtx 07:25, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
        • OR... with the opera mask, 28 adventures, 5 times a day, 5 turns a craft, 28 crafts a day, free. --Starguy 03:48, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Does not work *at all* for cocktailcrafting while Clockwork Bartender in a Box is installed in your campsite, since new crafting interface doesn't allow you to force the use of a cocktailcrafting kit, and the bartender uses no adventures. Have not tried other in-a-boxes. After the bartender explodes, you can use the kit, and Inigo's is utilized as expected. Update: "You have to make that decision before you install it. Once it is installed, it will be used." -- Multi Czar. so seems to be either intentional, or "we won't fix this just now". --Mars the infomage 02:36, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Seems like a feature to me. Why would you prefer to use this effect up rather than use the appropriate in-a-box? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 00:21, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
You might have case it to save yourself crafting time for something you don't have a boxen for (like smithing when you're not a muscle sign). And since you still have turns of the effect left, you might like to use those up on your booze/food crafting instead of using up charges on your boxen. Could let a boxen last slightly longer during a run, but that's pretty niche. --Flargen 06:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Does it not work when gotten as a fourth song from the hookah? I got Inigo's from the hookah as a fourth song, then the next adventure went to craft, and it cost a turn (instead of using the 5 turns of Inigo's).--Top1214 16:16, 25 July 2011 (CEST)

  • Seems very odd. It should work regardless of how you got the song in your head. But you need at least 5 adventures active to save you any crafting adventures. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:14, 25 July 2011 (CEST)
