Well, I sure picked a wretched day to ascend. More constructively, I followed the tracks 3 times today, before ascending, spending a good 150 turns in the icy peaks without encountering this adventure between about 1:30 and 4:00pm central time, so factor that into whatever prerequisites this adventure might have.--Noskilz 00:52, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Testing with an alt, it's definite you do not need to have encountered the It Was Then That a Hideous Monster Carried You adventure, since that character hasn't been in the icy peaks in months and got the adventure 47 turns in without ever hitting the earlier adventure. Which makes it sound like something was changed late in the afternoon.--Noskilz 01:05, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Seems to reoccur every 60-90 adventures. It's possible to get more than 1 egg on a character in a day.--Toffile 01:13, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Took me 120 adventures to get this the first time, but afterwards, I got it twice more in 10 turns. It's probably just a random noncombat, maybe with a slightly lower rate of incidence... Theogrin 04:59, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- Running max combat in the icy peak, I didn't get this adventure in 100 turns, so it probably is just a regular noncombat. Switched to +25% NC and got it quite quickly. (And, I had previously gotten it twice in about 5 turns, so it isn't a counter mechanism either.) --Starwed 16:30, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Empty nest
After getting 3 hideous eggs today, I got the adventure two more times (so far) and received a different message, which I put in the article. What's the condition for getting this? --Goffrie 01:26, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

I got 5 hideous eggs today before I got empty nest. 3 the previous two days. Anyone else experience 5 eggs today instead of 3?--WhiskeyJack 04:21, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Daily egg cap
The number of eggs you can get each day, is being changed through out the day. The adventure started appearing half way through May 6th, where people who weren't all ready drunk could get up to 3 eggs. On the 7th, the cap was 3 eggs all day long. The first half of the 8th saw the cap increase to 5 eggs, where as by 1-2pm est it was upped to 7 and the sitcom reference was changed. --Darkwolf 18:14, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
