Talk:Kubla Khan
So Kubla refers to Kublai Khan, grandson of Genghis Khan. Chaka Khan is a famous singer.--Ice Jedi5 15:03, 2 June 2007 (CDT)
Steam attack: hot damage?
I had this hit message earlier today, and I think it did hot damage (which the article doesn't show). I'll try and pay attention next time I see it.
- Hit Message(s):
- A mighty fountain momently is forced from the ground beneath you, giving you a high-pressure, steaming-hot shower.

- Yep, it's a hot attack. (As a side note, I thought momently needed a [sic], but a quick dictionary check shows it is a word, a synonym of momentarily. Learn something every day.) I added the element, as well as a sleazy hit message about his furry pants. I also shifted the non-elemental flail hit to the first message, to give a little order and also to match the order of the miss messages.--Terion 12:56, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Fumble... what?
Fighting Mr. Khan, "He steps up and claps a hand over your ear. You get a massive headache as some kind of brain-worm bores its way into your cerebellum. KUUUUUUBBBBLAAAAAA KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Oof! You lose 10 hit points." showed up as a hit message. Whether it's a normal hit message, or the critical I don't know (I'll have to fight him with a much higher moxie so he can only hit me with criticals to know for sure), but it's surely not the *fumble* message.--Terion 12:22, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
- I added the ouches to the message, just to indicate that you do take damage. In the small sample set of a dozen or so rounds, he did damage to me every round, so I didn't see a no-damage fumble. Maybe Kubla's got a special fumble that still does damage? Or more likely, it just didn't come up in my few rounds. ;) Also, I didn't see the shirt-tearing critical hit either. Meh; I'll get some DR so I can let him tickle me for 30 rounds or so, and hopefully get a few battles with him.--Terion 12:56, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
Relation to Hitchhiker's Guide?
I remember reading a passage in the Hitchhiker's Guide series. A construction worker was going to tear down Arthur's house and I think it was said that he was a direct descendant of Genghis Khan.--Aznpride05 17:14, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
There was a joke about nearly everyone being a direct descendant of Genghis Khan involved. --Killerrabbit 15:25, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
