Talk:Leavesdropping
My L9 Sauceror (Eldarion) just got Hoom Hah with Lord Spookyraven's ear trumpet equipped and DID get a demon name!! This means that this adventure is also likely available prior to L11, and opens up the remote possibility that a L4-5 Muscle or Moxie class with an inflated Myst (>= 40) can find a demon name in Cola Wars Battlefield! Anyone brave enough to try? I'd recommend a casual ascension as the easiest way to do this.--Mis2027 15:50, 12 August 2007 (CDT)
There really isn't an adventure there that could give a name...unless it came from an option, but then they would be common occurrences. Demon names seem like rarer adventures.--Gils 21:48, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
Any idea how rare these Demon Name adventures are? I've spent hundreds of adventures with the trumpet equipped + non-combats increased, looking for "Leavesdropping" (and the others), and still have no names, sniff... --Sir Clement the Meek 18:52, 19 August 2007 (CDT)
I've not looked systematically, but these appear somewhere around once every 100-200 adventures, but can occur more rapidly, as I once got two within a few turns of each other. As such, they don't obey a mechanic like the semi-rares, but probably instead are just something like a 1% rate, and possibly outside of the Combat Frequency system. I suppose that's worth investigating...I'll add it to my research list.--Mis2027 08:42, 20 August 2007 (CDT)
Some preliminary findings regarding frequency:
- it's definitely possible to get multiple demon names in one day
- summoning a demon doesn't preclude getting a demon name adventure
- frequency appears probabilistic, not counter based (one of my characters got 4 in 270 adventures, another got 2 in 280 adventures)

Got this adventure the turn after my semi-rare encounter. Has anyone else had similar experience? --Dalgar 22:19, 21 September 2007 (CDT)
Does this now occur in the Pandamonium Slums?Stannius 22:26, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- I spent 210 adv. in the slums and didn't get it. Will try more tomorrow. --Valliant 23:31, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
