Talk:Lemon Party Slot

From A KoL Wiki

This is my first attempt at adding data, let alone a whole page. The URL was automatically generated from the Casino page, and it automatically included the three exclamation points.

Unlike periods, this seems to cause no harm.

While I obviously don't mind if some people come here to correct my formatting, I'm trying to use this as a live example to figure out the page standards.

Suggestions for this Noob welcome. (unsigned)

Didn't the Lemon Party Slot used to have a different name? --Atlantima 07:30, 1 Oct 2005 (MDT)
Yes, it was called Fruit Insanity!!! before it was changed. --Fryguy9 09:51, 1 Oct 2005 (MDT)

Odds

Does anyone have experimental data on the odds of the slots? The theory (12/25 chance of none, 12/25 of one, 1/25 of three) adds up, but it assumes the RNG is fair... Phlip 07:28, 12 December 2005 (Central Standard Time)

Over 430480 adventures, I've received 43179 cherries, 42056 lemons, 43054 jumbo olives, 43034 oranges, and 42175 limes. That's a fruit/adventure rate of .496, which looks like it's rather shy of the 15/25=.6 "fair" drop rate. I didn't store getting none/one/three for each time, so I can't speak to the odds of each individual slot pull, but I will start doing so. --Sellbot (talk) 02:48, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I was misreading my logs. I should have said that I received cherries 43179 times, lemons 42056 times, etc. That's a "getting at least one fruit on any given pull" rate of .496, which is still a little shy of the 13/25=.52 "fair" drop rate. I'm now recording the wheel results on each pull, but so far I only have 500 adventures there with the new code so I can't yet speak to wheel fairness. --Sellbot (talk) 19:57, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

And does anyone know if the odds are affected by things that affect item drops? --Pobble 09:54, 9 October 2006 (CDT)

Bad Moon Rocks

It seems like you randomly get big rocks from the Lemon Party Slot in a Bad Moon run, and no fruit. Might need to test further.--GoldS 23:40, 23 July 2007 (CDT)

Spent a few turns on it - appears to be if no fruits match. --Bigcalm 15:04, 29 July 2007 (CDT)

I just went there and got a rock with two fruits the same...I think it's just random--Lote 16:32, 23 October 2007 (CDT)

Replacement rate seems to be about 20%. --Bagatelle 19:17, 8 November 2007 (CST)

Pair 39 11
Singles 42 8

You only get a big rock without a ten-leaf clover in Bad Moon?--Olaf the Hungry 23:40, 3 September 2008 (CDT)

Quite correct. If you're not in BM, you won't get the rock without a clover. This feature was quite a relief to the first person in Bad Moon who accidentally meatsmithed his only rock with the wrong item and wondered if he could possible get a second rock. He was really blessing the powers that be for having forseen his situation. --Bale 02:14, 4 September 2008 (CDT)

I might add that when I used the party slot to farm for fruit in bad moon, the behavior seemed to be approximately normal at first, but then it degraded to only dropping rocks. Could it be a progressive thing based on usage? --Bourbaki Am I 11:21, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Farmed the Lemon Party 966 times so far.

  • 78 limes x 60 meat = 4680 meat
  • 78 lemons x 35 meat = 2730 meat
  • 94 jumbo olives x 60 meat = 5640 meat
  • 107 oranges x 35 meat = 3745
  • 91 cherries x 60 meat = 5460
  • 178 big rocks x 1 meat = 178 meat
  • Total = 22433 meat or 22433 - 9660 = 12773 profit = 13.2 mpa. I got a big rock ~18.4% of the time. I still get fruit drops after several days and after 150 adventures in a day.Dijonius 20:04, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
