Talk:Li'l Xenomorph

From A KoL Wiki

<name> suddenly hurls itself at your opponent, slicing with its claws and gnawing savagely with its razor-sharp teeth. Holy cow, man.

I got this message during random rounds of combat with Knob Goblin Elite Guards. 18 pounds, Tiny top hat and cane equipped, all transponders dropped. Doesn't seem to do anything. --Arck 14:08, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

I got the same message vs Knob Lice and other monsters in the same area. Ice sickle equipped (total of 25 ML), attempted to attack with my weapon, but missed. Top hat equipped and all transponders as well, 29lbs. --Megustalapasta 14:08, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Also getting this message, also in the Barracks. I'm running +10 ML, plinking these guys with Clobber, doing no more than 10 damage per fight, and after seeing this message once or twice, they go down. So it looks like it's doing damage, just not reporting how much? --Johnny Treehugger 18:01, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
  • 22-pound Xenomorph killed a Candied Yam Golem in 1 hit-I had 19 Mus, 19 Mys and 50 Mox,+20ML.(Mafia says it has 31HP)
    • Same weight, killed Knob Goblin Elite Guard(+20ML) in 2 hits.--Arck 11:52, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Biggest question: Is the enchantment a reduced fairy? I'm still confused as to why a fully charged volleyfairy is now a viable option. Argus 12:44, 3 July 2011 (CEST)

  • As far as I understand the wiki-page, it is a 100% Volleyball, which acts as a 100% fairy in addition with specific equipment.
The tiny top hat and cane only grants the additional fairy-effect but blocks the familiar's equipment-slot for sugar shields or other items, making it 5 to 10 lbs lighter than it should/could be. Pygmy Bugbear Shaman and Sugar Fruit Fairy eat your MP, the Xenomorph eats its own equipment-slot. It's powerful, but not exactly a game breaking nightmare. Or I'm just not seeing it so far. ;) --Yatsufusa 17:59, 3 July 2011 (CEST)

It's in the forums somwhere; essentially, a volley-fairy isn't an overpowered combo any more, with everything else that is available. Especially when it can't use familiar equipment such as the sugar shield.

What I came to say, though, is that the attacking is supposed to happen on the moons, not in the barracks -- According to Jick it was just a typo that is now fixed. Updating the page now. --Terion 02:28, 9 July 2011 (CEST)

I'm running across something that I don't see mentioned, and wonder where it should go. With the hat and cane equipped, sometimes after the dance message I get "INVISIBLE <ITEM NORMALLY DROPPED BY MONSTER>" (yes, everything capitalized). No picture (of course, it's invisible), and no item actually shows up in inventory. Just wondering if it should be mentioned on a page somewhere --Jest Phulin 20:07, 9 October 2011 (CEST)

  • My bad. I started using this familiar and ate a cheezeburger the same day. --Jest Phulin 07:28, 10 October 2011 (CEST)
