Talk:Lime
From A KoL Wiki
So what is the point to saying that it used to be found in the Palindome?--Gils 10:20, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
- because our nostalgia makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. and it's the way things are done. if you'd like this changed discuss it or propose a new standard. --Evilkolbot 11:55, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
- Hasn't it been discussed and agreed that such notes belong in a ==History== section, instead of a ==Notes== section? Searching here I see I am misremembering overwhelming support, but it has been proposed. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 14:54, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
- yes, but that discussion's just happened and is still being discussed. --Evilkolbot 04:01, 3 June 2007 (CDT)
Getting your Lime in Bad Moon
If you find yourself desperately needing a lime in Bad Moon for some reason, here are the various odds of the three options available to you (odds assume you have no item buffs or combat +/- running):
- Sonofa Beach: 90% chance of noncombat, 1/16 chance of getting the lime adventure. Total odds: 5.4%
- Menagerie Lev 1: 33.3% chance of fruit golem, 15% chance he drops a lime. Total odds: 4.9%
- Lemon Party Slots: 13/25 wins fruit. 1/6 of wins = lime(s). Total odds: 8.3%.
Basically, Lemon Party slots are best unless you can boost item drops by roughly +73%.--Gemelli 10:00, 15 February 2008 (CST)
- Thanks thanks thanks so much - rng seems to hate me today and I've spent 20 turns in Cobb's Knob Menagerie, Level 1 --DreamTheEndless 12:15, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Are these odds correct? Lemon Party Slot suggests that there are five, not six, fruits. And, triple-limes would give three fruits. So, 12/125 give one lime, and 1/125 gives three. That's a 13/125 or 10.4% chance of getting at least one lime. --Bleary 04:28, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- We Apologize To Our English Players For the Lameness of the Pun gives three limes, which works out to better odds if you need more than one. --Baltar (talk) 01:35, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
