Talk:Location Data
From A KoL Wiki
I wanted to add some information about what it is I'm trying to do with this page:
- As with Monster Data, this gives us a complete listing of all of the metadata associated with the locations. The only exception is the quest tag which I found very intermittently used.
- Since this allows seeing all of the data in one fell swoops, it allows me to see missing parameters, incorrect information etc. This is helpful for the recent change in minimum mainstat recommended, as that's now changed for a LOT of locations.
If you would like to help, it'd be great to have someone review ML information as well as unlocking information. Both are on my list of things to do, but this is taking longer than I had hoped.-Foggy (talk) 14:19, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Why exactly do we need the min-max ML? It seems not too hard for the user to look at the ML of the monsters in the zone. There's only a few at most in almost every zone. — Cool12309 (talk) 16:11, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- That's actually a fair question...it's been historically recorded for each location to allow for an easier way for wiki readers to gauge the difficulty of a zone, but min stat should do that better. (It probably would be more relevant for scaling zones. All locations have some sort of unlock listed, although the consistency is not great.
On a separate note, I've been wondering if having some sort of scheduled adventure tag would help (e.g. for Mt. Molehill or Mob of Protestors).-Foggy (talk) 15:27, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
