And what is the point of that? Perhaps this should just get deleted... --jin 22:09, 31 May 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
What are you talking about? Maybe your comment should just be deleted! The description contains nothing but valuable information and the message you get when you try to use a ranged weapon. Pfaw. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peterpancreas (talk • contribs) on 18:32, 12 May 2006
- Umm, maybe you should take a look at when Jinya's comment was posted. --Ricket 19:45, 12 May 2006 (CDT)
Glass Ceiling?
Is it me, or does the LTS have a damage limit? I used the skill and did 115 damage. I then attacked normally and did 118.--Aznpride05 12:44, 22 October 2006 (CDT)
I believe that it only triples bonus melee damage. If you don't have any bonus melee damage, it won't increase the damage you do.--Jubbers14 00:25, 22 November 2006 (CST)
I'm 90% sure about this (and this is kind of an addendum to the previous statement), but do Spell Damage modifiers affect Thrust-Smack and Lunging Thrust-Smack? --User:Brightbutt The Defenestrator 07:06 05 March 2007
Reference to H*R
I know there's already a prevalence of Homestar Runner References in the game, but I was wondering if the "lunge added in for good measure" was a reference to the Strong Bad email where he draws Trogdor... Buzztootight 11:39, 24 March 2007 (CDT)
Hit percentage LTS without EoS?
I have recently HC permed this skill, but do not yet have Eye of Stoat... It seems that whenever I use this skill it fails to hit. Does anyone have an idea what the hitpercentage is for using LTS without EoS? --Alldarker 06:05, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
It's been a while, but I think without Eye of the Stoat it's just the same as a normal attack -- i.e. based on your Muscle vs the monster's level. So it's far less useful; it'll give you bonus damage, but by the time your hit% is high enough to connect you're probably able to kill the monster without too much trouble anyway. --Harry Crimboween 09:35, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for the clear answer, I see it has been updated on the main LTS page as well. My next run will perm EoS, that's obvious now. --Alldarker 07:45, 25 May 2007 (CDT)
LTS's hit percentage after NS13
It's kind of clear that LTS misses sometimes now. The question is how. My guess is that it works somewhat like Kneebutt if you have The Eye of Stoat. It may add 30 or so muscle, maybe more, to the hit probability. Somebody needs to check I guess. --Korlon 09:00, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
- After playing around with LTS, it seems that your chances are mostly the same as a normal attack. The same time I was able to normally attack monsters in the Gallery was the same time I could LTS them (as a non-SC class.) Also, I believe the multiplicator for the damage doesn't multiply the +melee damage, instead, multiplies just the base-attack, then just adds in the normal +melee. (I mean, it wasn't like this before, right? Haha, I should pay more attention) --Neptuneizzy 14:30, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Maybe it's different for Seal Clubbers then. I'm currently a Seal Clubber and I was consistently hitting monsters, with no misses, in the Haunted Gallery with around 95 muscle when you should need around 30 more to hit them all the time. I don't think you can even hit them at all with 95 muscle using base probabilities. Also, I went to the Gallery earlier with around 70 muscle back at level 6 and could not hit them at all. --Korlon 14:45, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Ok, I just used Lunging Thrust Smack earlier. Although it hit all the time up to a point, I just missed. I was at the Castle in the Sky with 133(92) muscle. I had 21 extra ML at the time. So... I'm going to venture a guess and say Eye of Stoat gives an extra 30% muscle for to hit probabilities. --Korlon 18:16, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
It seems like it's very much in line with regular to-hit probabilities with a bit of a bonus. I'm in the Penultimate Fantasy Airship now and LTS is hitting every monster without missing except for the MechaMech, which never gets hit by LTS. Regular attacks seem to miss all monsters most of the time. --Ehsteve 12:14, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
I did some testing to clarify the bonus to damage. The "minimum of 30 extra damage being added" note is misleading; the boost to your effective Muscle is at least 30, but that won't translate to +30 damage unless you're already out-muscling your opponent. Example: I went up against a fluffy bunny with 1 Muscle, a turtle totem equipped, and +10 ML. I ended up doing 24 to 27 damage with LTS, which is consistent with an effective 31 Mus, but not with "30 extra damage". Dentarthurdent 20:01, 13 November 2012 (CET)

Difference between classes?
- From what Jick said on the radio show, Seal Clubber skills are supposed to be substantially better when Seal Clubbers use them. Is there any data to indicate this? Tcoop 23:10, 27 November 2008 (EST)
