Talk:Managerial Manipulation
Seems like a weaker version of The Smile of Mr. A - half as many turns, 1/3 fewer stats, and only one use per day. I'm guessing it's either unusable on people in Hardcore/Ronin or it gives them something equivalent to the box of sunshine. --Quietust (t|c) 16:56, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- I'm in hardcore. If anyone wants to give it a try on me, I'll report the results. --Ackyri 18:38, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
"That player is in Hardcore mode, and cannot receive buffs from other players." So, nope, can't be used on people in HC/ronin. --P4n1q 05:17, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- No box-like item either. --Ackyri 15:57, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
What's the effect on someone receiving this from more than one person at a time? Could it have extra effects the more it's cast on someone? --Fluxxdog 08:48, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Use Message
What's the actual message for casting this buff? It's clearly not what's on the page, since that includes an "acquire effect" message (which is impossible, since you can't use it on yourself). --Quietust (t|c) 01:22, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Hypernepotism
I just used this on myself. Is this a new thing? "You declare yourself to be the Employee of the Month. You acquire an effect: Employee of the Month (duration: 20 Adventures)". --Johnny Treehugger (talk) 22:50, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Just tested it (in aftercore) and received the buff as well. Still seems weird to me... My guess would be that Jick changed something fundamental with the gift buffs the other day, so I'll report it as a bug and forward the reply here. --Yatsufusa (talk) 23:40, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- This still works, if anyone was wondering.--Notsupposedtobehere (talk) 01:17, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
