Talk:Maximizing Your HP
Is it just me, or doesn't muscle boost HP as well? In this case, wouldn't we want to add in muscle-boosting equipment as a consideration here? If we do, we should add in the gingham blouse/rhinestone cowboy shirt as the best shirts for boosting HP. Also, we should put in a note explaining at what stat level the plexiglass pith helmet boosts more than the stainless steel skullcap.--Yiab 12:30, 11 April 2006 (CDT)
- Good point, it does. And it's not just shirts that boost HP, but all the 20-odd muscle increasing effects do as well. (The same is also true with Mysticality boosting MP.) I'm not sure of the best way to handle this - expand the table, (could be tricky and messy), or add notes.
- The percentage breakpoint explanation is a good idea. I base the calculation on an assumed Base Stat value of 100, but it wouldn't hurt to add a note (both here and for all percentage equipment in other Maximizing Your... pages).
- Also, do we have a formula/table somewhere that shows how Muscle translates into HP? --Gymnosophist 13:17, 11 April 2006 (CDT)
- Apathetic is really off here... Apathetics shouldn't have access to Canadia jewelry... The best accessories they could have would be three Walrus-Tusk Earings --shoptroll 23:00, 29 April 2006 (EDT)
Class-specific
I don't understand the bejeweled accordion strap. In fact, I propose that all class-specific items be removed from the "Maximizing" tables. What if you're a Seal Clubber? You can't exactly use the bejeweled accordion strap now can you.--Aznpride05 21:07, 24 September 2006 (CDT)
Take a look here for an explanation of Class-Specific Equipment. The fairly stringent treatment accorded Class-Specific Equipment was made to address exactly the concern you raise. But no, the Class-Specific Equipment should not be removed from the tables. --Gymnosophist 22:38, 24 September 2006 (CDT)
I added Support Cummerbunds. They are approximately 210 a piece in the mall. EVERYONE has access to them even apathetics and they give plus twenty.--Lordulster 03:48, 11 January 2007 (CST)
Change of Offhand
Battered hubcap is quite cheap now, suggesting to change.--Myst44 06:41, 24 July 2007 (CDT)
Cactus Quill
Hello...600 meat a piece isn't deity standard.

I don't even know where to start with this page. Catskin cap is deity? --Xclockwatcher 20:21, 4 September 2007 (CDT)
Revamp
This equipment needs a revamp, majorly: wreath of laurels > catskin cap > reinforced beaded headband (black helmet isn't even apathic worthy, since you get a reinforced beaded headband whether you like it or not).
Brimstone Bludgeon should outdo giant cactus quill from ~60 buffed muscle for any class (kol deity).
shiny hood ornament isn't limited by "only wear one" restriction, is available for ~1k meat in mall and is only worse then blackberry combat boots. For a multi-ascender with muscle to HP bonus skills, shiny hood and bejeweled pledge pin might be a tie or the hood is better - I'd have to check, while the accordion strap is only useful when you're AT. The combat boots are also available for ~1k meat, max 1400, if you buy the blackberries and walk into the black forest.
Probably some things I'm missing. --MoreCurious 17:38, 13 September 2007 (CDT)
can can skirt requires some consideration: at +10% muscle it overtakes the astronaut pants at early level 15 (201 muscle) for muscle classes and at base muscle 301 for moxie and myst classes (earlier, obviously, if you have +HP skills). Comment is mostly aimed at maximising HP for Fernswarthy's basement tests, though non-muscle classes are more likely to use equalising potions to better effect. --Bigquack 05:58, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
El Vibrato Relics
Hey just wondering: I was surprised there's nothing about the El Vibrato Relics. By feeding the helmet ten 165 hole cards, you'd get +1000 HP. It takes up a hat, both hands, and pants, but +1000 HP beats the old top hat, astronaut pants, cactus quill and hubcap by 440 HP. Thoughts? --Yotsuya 01:58, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
