Talk:Maximizing Your Mysticality

From A KoL Wiki

Question: Why doesn't the KoL Deity have three Baios? Isn't 180% extra Myst inherently better than 120%? I'm pretty sure there's NO limits to KoL Deity items. Banjooie 15:56, 22 Sep 2005 (MDT)

The arse-shooting crossbow should not be listed as an optimal weapon, even for a KoL Deity, since only one exists in the entire kingdom and it belongs to Kucolan (and it cannot be traded, so nobody else could possibly use it). --Quietust 22:37, 26 March 2006 (CST)

Actually, since the concept is to show the *theorhetical* maximum, Arse-shooting Crossbow shoudl be included, since it exists. If it did not exist, it shouldn't be included. That's the only limitation for KoL Diety.--Rikmach 00:50, 27 March 2006 (CST)

Asbestos Staff=+9 P or S Epic+Easter Egg Balloon Off-Hand=+11 If we show the best hats as Colander and Saucehelm, we should change that. Correct me if I'm wrong.--Scorpios 01:53, 1 April 2006 (CST)

My Edits

Forgot to do it in the summary. Changed the accessories for Deity. if Deity can have a unique, they can easily have 3 Baios. Added shirts to Ascender; if Ascender can have stainless then it can have a shirt. Also added fof-hands and fixed some number fuck-ups from before. The Absolute and x100 Percent weren't added together so the Grand Total contained such mathematical masterpieces as 550+134=680. The shirts thing is the only even disputable change I can see here. --Scorpios 16:27, 6 May 2006 (CDT)

A Suggestion

Um... I'd add this in myself, but I'm not all that good at coding and such, but wouldn't the Glass Balls of the Goblin King do better than the easter egg balloon as an off-hand item if the only goal was to maximize one's Mysticality? The balloon adds five to everything, while the glass balls add 14 to just Mysticality. Zapmaster 01:19, 21 May 2006 (CDT)

... In fact, now that I think about it, the Pastamancer or Sauceror weapon plus the Glass Balls would add up to 21, which is even more than the arse-shooting crossbow would provide for the KoL Diety. Zapmaster 04:44, 21 May 2006 (CDT)

Better yes, Staff of the Well-Tempered Cauldron + Glass Balls of the Goblin King. That's an extra +4 we can eke out in that slot. --Drachefly 19:49, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Hats

Why are the Epic hats only listed for the top two categories? Seeing as they're the reward for a required quest, surely the Ascender class should have them for their hat at least?--Aemeth 01:52, 22 August 2006 (CDT)

Why are the Epic hats listed at all? They're class-specific. Shouldn't we change it something else? If you're an Accordion Thief, than the Ancient Saucehelm or Colander d' Em'ril(sp?) won't help.--Aznpride05 18:47, 12 September 2006 (CDT)

  • Then it's Villa and above. The Nemesis Quest is not mandatory. It's absolutely optional.--Aznpride05 16:22, 27 September 2006 (CDT)

The Duct Tape Fedora is better than the Bat-ass Hat. I'll let someone with more html skills change it.--WillGruff 15:57, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Weapons

Wouldn't the star staff be better instead of the epic weapon since it gives +8 and not +7 --Repelex 16:19, 8 October 2006 (CDT)

Maxwell's Silver Hammer should be a best 1 hand weapon, offering +10 myst to the lizard man and ascender groups.--Dannyboy 08:28, 7 August 2007 (CDT)

Accessories

It seems the navel ring of navel gazing is missing. I can't understand much about the table, other than the color indicator #90BBBB. --StorellaDeville 07:59, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Jokes?

Why is there a link to a koan site? I get the joke, I'm just wondering why it is in the article, instead of on the forums, or at the very least on the discussion page...--J12601 10:15, 23 October 2006 (CDT)

  • This is something that I did and then brought up for discussion in proposed standards (for some reason, this edit is only viewable when "Comparing selected versions"). Unfortunately, no one ever responded to that post. Since that time (more than a year ago), the use of low key humor on the Wiki seems to have become something of a de facto standard. The "koan" link should probably go as it doesn't quite fit with how we're currently doing things. --Gymnosophist 17:40, 23 October 2006 (CDT)

Effects

There are many an effect not listed up there. I may be wrong about what type of player gets what, so i'll just put them here.

Aspect of the Twinklefairy: +10% to all stats, +5 melee damage

Hot Blooded: +10 hot damage, +30% Muscle, +10% Mysticality, +20% Moxie, so-so hot resistance

Cold Blooded: +10 cold damage, +30% Muscle, +20% Mysticality, +10% Moxie, so-so cold resistance

Stenchtastic: +10 stench damage, +20% Muscle, +30% Mysticality, +10% Moxie, so-so stench resistance

Spooky demeanor: +10 spooky damage, +10% Muscle, +30% Mysticality, +20% Moxie, so-so spooky resistance

Supafly: +10 Sleaze Damage, +15% Muscle, +15% Mysticality, +30% Moxie, so-so sleaze Sleaze Resistance

Cosmic enlightenment: +10% mysticality

Also Schmeckt Zarathustra: +30 mysticality --Applejordan 14:10, 17 February 2007 (CST)

The Magical Mojomuscular Melody is missing for no reason that I can think of, so I am going to add it in (since it does give 10 mysticality according to the wiki). --Egs 00:48, 8 March 2007 (CST)

Max myst for KoL Deity is incorrect

Since the baios and grimacite goggles peak at opposite moon periods, the goggles will only yield 10% when the baios are yielding 80%. Thus the max myst boost is 940%, not 980%. Same deal with other stats and grimacite.

Gigs--Gigs 19:53, 9 March 2007 (CST)

  • Good catch. I was smart enough to notice that on any day with either a Talisman of Baio or Grimacite garter a minimum of +30% per accessory slot was possible, but I guess I forgot to put into consideration similar logic for the hat too. I updated the article. --TheDotGamer 09:56, 12 March 2007 (CDT)

Chintzy Items

Wouldn't a chintzy noodle ring (or it's counterpart) be better than Jarlsberg's earring? --Gleezus 09:26, 13 April 2007 (CDT)

NS 13

NEEDS NS 13 content started update but I haven't finish. --Drizzl 18:33, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Along with NS13 edits, how are epic items to be treated? Maxwell's Silver Hammer is a better choice if you don't have access to Myst Class only epic weapons. --Babyscarface 17:20, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

  • Curiously enough, the section just above this mentions Dressing For Success#Explanation of Methodology, which says that only Villa/Deity should have class-specific equipment. Personally, I think it's a little odd, and that putting regular equipment in and footnoting where applicable would be more useful. --Bagatelle 18:50, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Albatross necklace

This should be used under the Normal and casual categories, becuause it's 10% increase is more valuable than raw stat increasers.--Ac1983fan 08:05, 30 November 2007 (CST)

Climate Colada?

The Climate Colada's effect, "Weather, Man" gives +30% to all stats, but seems to be missing from these tables. Yes, you need a llama long gong to get it, but you can either buy one of those, or buy the Colada itself in the mall. Should it be added? Mixie 13:18, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Major formatting changes

It seems this page underwent drastic changes in format, as I see here in Discussion people are talking about things such as a "KoL Deity column" that doesn't exist. Or am I missing something? I am familiar with that structure; and I like the current one better. --StorellaDeville 07:59, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Can someone please add the Teflon Spatula +10% to the list -- AvangionQ / March 26th, 2009
