Bonus Substats

"Your muscles quiver with pleasure" appears to give you a nujmber of bonus substats equal to your level, at least that's what it looked like it was doing at level 5. Anybody want to help confirm? --Melon 21:24, 16 February 2012 (CET)

  • Sorry I think I may have had Clancy's +stat equipment on at the time. Might be a false alarm. --Melon 21:43, 16 February 2012 (CET)

I got 2 substats off each of the NS forms due to this, so it's probably just that. Lord kobel

I was observing anywhere from +1 to +4 with it averaging around +2.--Demon llama 19:01, 18 February 2012 (CET)

From CLEESHed monsters, I got 3/0/0 and 2/1/0 (under Mongoose). Normally I'd assume this means it gave +1 muscle substat due to how Mongoose does its rounding, but a little bird told me that there may have been a change to how stat-gains are rounded now, and I haven't re-spaded that yet. --Greycat 19:37, 18 February 2012 (CET)

I've noticed bonus muscle substats, but each time I've used the skill, I haven't gotten more than 1 in each other substat. Granted, I'm still low level, but maybe it gives a small bonus and also increases the ratio of stats going to muscle vs the others?--Terrimas 06:05, 22 February 2012 (CET)

I got the same feeling that my off-stats weren't leveling as quickly when I used Mighty Axing, but I dont have any evidence to back it up. --timrem 06:58, 22 February 2012 (CET)
I feel as if I get more muscle substat as a tradeoff from myst and moxie. --Sealslulz 19:04, 23 February 2012 (CET)

Based on the tensing up and quivering of axe muscles, having the skill succeed but having the physical attack blocked by cunctatitis appears to still give bonus substats.--Two101 11:57, 11 March 2012 (CET)

More than just substats?

I'm not sure, but it seems that Mighty Axing may be more than just extra muscle substats. I'm no good at spading, but I think someone should look into the possibility of +damage as well. Additionally, I can't recall a time when I fumbled using Mighty Axing. It's definitely not auto-hit, but is it maybe no-fumble? (or maybe Boris doesn't fumble, for all that I know. I haven't paid that close attention to it) --timrem 06:58, 22 February 2012 (CET)

It definitely increases damage, though I haven't noted exact numbers, I was doing ~twice as much at very low levels. --Starwed 19:02, 28 February 2012 (CET)

Skills normally don't invoke the fumbling mechanic when used, so that makes sense. However, the damage increase formula is going to be tricky to spade. My observations at various levels and buffed Muscle suggest that the extra damage done with Mighty Axing is inversely related to the difference between Monster Defense and your buffed Muscle. I haven't pinned down the formula yet, but what I have seen so far seems to jive with observations of it doing double damage at low levels, and far less than double at higher levels. --Wrldwzrd89 16:46, 11 March 2012 (CET)
