Talk:Necrotelicomnicon
The Necrotelicomnicon shudders for a moment, but nothing happens. --Toffile 23:36, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
As far as I can determine, the Latin is "the book of yellow pages", but I can't tell if this a joke they made up, or one they took from the Sandman comic. Spelling is slightly different, but that might be a typo. --Bobulus 00:05, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
The name Necrotelicomnicon is a reference from 'Moving Pictures', A Discworld Novel by Terry Pratchett.--Tarendelcymir 00:09, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
I would think the Necrotelicomnicon is also a play on the Necronomicon in the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series.--Fettucini carabinieri 08:53, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
- Evil Dead/Army of Darkness featured the "Necronomicon ex Mortis", a similar but unrelated book. --Quietust (t|c) 09:01, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
If you had the Pastamancer skill/effect of one of the Flavours of Magic cast on yourself and had the Necrotelicomnicon equipped, would their damages stack? Like you had the Spirit of Cayenne effect cast, would the resulting spell be both Fire and Spooky?... And would you have a +20 to Spell Damage? --Chawmp 04:51, 28 December 2007 (CST)
- Bonus spell damage stacks (unless it's specified to a single element only, like Staff of the Kitchen Floor), but spells cannot be of multiple elements. I forget whether Spirit overrides books, or the other way around. --Bagatelle 12:59, 28 December 2007 (CST)
