Talk:Ninja snowman assassin
I hit one with an unbearable light and only the crampons dropped. I suspect all of the drops are special, and I got the crampons independent of the light-bomb. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:51, 26 July 2012 (CEST)
I never actually hit it. It hit me for ~50-70HP (cold) and if I survived I won the fight it dropped its item. It got hit with 3 sacuespheres and stomping boots for roughly 25 damage or so. So either it has a really low HP or something else is going on. Level 8 sauceror. Winterbay 17:13, 28 July 2012 (CEST)
- Yeah, my dwarven war mattock, detective skull, and spices all agree that it only has 1 HP. --Johnny Treehugger 17:23, 28 July 2012 (CEST)
Went in looking for miss messages, at ~ 900 moxie 16 - 27 cold HP and deleveling did not decrees the damage it inflicted, at 2148 moxie was getting hit for 11 cold HP. suspect there is no "safe" moxie and a "will always hit" is at work here. --MadonKody 02:12, 31 July 2012 (CEST)
"Your opponent brushes against your hat and freezes solid, suffering 1 damage in the process.
He vanishes, then reappears behind you, strangling you with his icy hands. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. You lose 54 hit points. (cold damage)
You win the fight!"
Definitely has only 1 HP even with +ML running. Does not count as a bounty target.--Octagon8 08:42, 31 July 2012 (CEST)
- I disagree with the "even with +ML running" part; at something like +46 ML (radio, Aria, bugbear) it was taking me two Clobbers to kill them. --EiriasValar 04:26, 4 August 2012 (CEST)
- Seems like the HP can vary. On this run, at +10 ML (radio), I killed my second assassin with a single application of Rain-Doh blue balls (which did one damage, because they're cold). On my third assassin, however, the blue balls did not kill the assassin; I had to make another attack (for 190 points of damage). So sometimes the assassin has 1HP, and sometimes it has more than one (but <= 191). --Carl the Wimp 11:57, 20 August 2012 (CEST)
- Manuel confirms its hp is variable as the entry has 0 (used to indicate variable stats). Discordance 00:55, 12 December 2012 (CET)
- Datapoint: MCD 10, BBB+balaclava 20, UrKel at level 9=18. Manuel says 48hp. Guessing max(1,ML++)--ArgghFW 21:51, 29 January 2013 (CET)
- Add in astral belt, manuel says 68. So, yeah.--ArgghFW 21:55, 29 January 2013 (CET)
Encounter frequency
Does anyone know how the frequency of this encounter works? --Rlbond 01:30, 24 August 2012 (CEST)
What
- With 2000 turns of Carlweather's Cantata of Confrontation and Musk of the Moose, a silent beret and a ring of conflict, I was getting damn near 100% assassins. I banished them with the creepy grin, and I still get 100% assassins. Is this documented behaviour? --Santasassassin 09:28, 9 November 2012 (CET)
- if what you're reporting is true, then that's a bug. silent beret and ring of conflict should cancel out the other combat modifiers and you shouldn't get any assassins at all. looks broken exploitable, too. report it and see what gemelli says. the banishing may well not work on assassins and has not been reported here to date. we should hang fire on updating it until the other thing you're reporting is confirmed, though. --Evilkolbot 13:12, 9 November 2012 (CET)
- Running 100 turns of Raising the Dead caused me to get a seemingly normal number of assassins. However, after spending about 20 turns there (bounty hunt), the assassin encounters became more frequent. After ~45 turns, they became 100% encounter. --Ariamaki 02:13, 10 November 2012 (CET)
- this has been on various forums for ages. tsk us. sorry about the skepticism.
- given that nsa become 100% after a time, does this trigger even if you've 0% or less +combats?
- is it still 100% if you've 25% or more -combat?
- if you need +combats, will a 1lb hound dog cut.it?
- i'll add to the header. --Evilkolbot 12:54, 10 November 2012 (CET)

Combat Initiative
I was able to run away at 31% combat initiative, but went 0/240 at 26% combat initiative. Given my weird init values (thanks partial slime skill!), I can't quite rule out 125% init for the snowman at this time. But it's 125 or 130. --Top1214 03:54, 31 January 2013 (CET)
