Talk:Optimal dog

From A KoL Wiki

I'm really not sure how to unlock this one. but the name worries me, the implications are that sombody needs to do somthing with the OAF Or maybe some kind of speed ascension to unlock the prerequirement for this. Any ideas or hunches?--Tombot (talk) 12:10, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

  • I'd be amused if it needed a 100% OAF run. ~Erich t/c 13:04, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
    • Anyone willing to test? because blarg.--Tombot (talk) 17:29, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
      • Fiiiiiine. I'll do a 100% OAF casual now. Give me a little bit to get ready to ascend, though.--Cannonfire40 (talk) 19:19, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
        • That was awful, but no dice.--Cannonfire40 (talk) 21:10, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
          • Yeah, sorry about putting you through that.--Tombot (talk) 13:51, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
  • It worries me how humorously appropriate it would be if there was no optimal hot dog -- as in, the "optimal dog" didn't actually exist. --Yunatwilight (talk) 00:27, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
  • I was pondering the possibility of it being a Camp Scout Backpack rare drop, as the backpack states Camp Scouts are expected to perform optimally/efficiently, and a hot dog would certainly be something you could find to eat on a camping trip... Just my musings.--Pyre9 (talk) 06:51, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
    • Highly doubtful, the item would have been found by now considering the number of backpacks out there and the fact that they drop items constantly/consistently, equipped or not. Good catch on the statement though.--MageRed (talk) 03:40, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
  • The consumption text seems to indicate the OAF... The OAF is the sub-optimal... Maybe it has to do w/ doing something sub- optimal - like a run only consuming hot dogs and nothing else?--Grimdel (talk) 04:12, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
    • Would it be drunken stupor or bad moon, if we are looking for sub-optimal?--MageRed (talk) 04:44, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
    • Another robot would be the Homemade Robot, maybe ascend with it while it being at 100 pounds base weight.--Beliar Lightbearer (talk) 07:53, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Alright, different robots ideas:

Also, how do you do strikethrough? I can never remember/find out. --Fluxxdog (talk) 21:05, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Forum post indicates Menagerie Level 1 for an optimal spreadsheet. Burned 350 turns, nothing. Banishing all 3 monsters doesn't make tumbleweeds.--Fluxxdog (talk) 15:08, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

It's strange to say it, but the super elusive hard-to-get-only-with-a-Ultra-Rare hotdog that requires multiple days worth of a specific item of the month to even buy is now deligated to a simple food version of a clover. Kinda sad really.--Tombot (talk) 00:49, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
