Anyone know if it has to be done in one ascension? I guess no with the drinking, but you will loose any flies you have collected when you ascend. I'm going to try over two ascensions, but that will take a while... Adite
my calculations show that it will take 16 days to drink them all if you have liver of steel, 20 days without. also keep in mind that depending on your equipment and such, it will take you probably 3-5 to farm the flies themselves.--Le canard 11:56, 10 July 2007 (CDT)

Okay we know the drinks don't have to be done over one ascension for the trophy. It's just like the other eating/drinking ones (least we're pretty sure). But is collecting the flies and cashing them in for drinks a one-time per ascension deal? I've been collecting around the worlds for the trophy since my last ascension, and I turned enough flies in to get 55 drinks (figuring I'd get a head start on drinking them). However after that, I couldn't get anymore flies to drop. But now I'm getting around to thinking...uh oh...what if maybe I was an idiot, and after changing gear for rollover, the next day I just forgot to re-equip my spanish fly trap and just didn't notice? I honestly can't remember if I did that or not. So does anyone know if this is once-per? Like maybe once you cash in your flies, no matter how many you have, you're cut off until you ascend again? Or am I just a moron?
