Talk:Polo Tombstone

From A KoL Wiki

I'll let someone else flesh this out. There is a pun on the alligator being named Polo. Polo brand shirts have the polo player embroidered on them, and there were/are the preppie shirts with the alligators (don't remember a brand). Why do I have the trivia in my head?

The brand name is Izod. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Izod

According to Wikipedia, tennis shirts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennis_shirt) *are* polo shirts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polo_shirt). Searching for tennis shirts on Amazon (Amazon tennis shirts) brings up a number of shirts they call polo shirts. Jick's not the only one confused.

This adventure seems more than superlikely; the last several times I've hit the Conservatory it's been my very first adventure. Has anyone else had this experience? --PlatypusNinja 23:34, 11 May 2007 (CDT)

Yeah, I always get it as the first adventure after unlocking it. -- NitraMo SA TT 04:00, 12 May 2007 (CDT)

NS13 mechanic

After NS13, this adventure no longer seems to occur in the first turn after unlocking it.--Javcek 19:57, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Ditto that... It used to be immediate, but now seems to be taking a handful of adventures. --Sir Clement the Meek 22:32, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Thirded: that took me 7 adventures, I kept going back to the library thinking I'd made a wrong choice. --Zeitgeist 22:02, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

It happened on the 8th turn for me. This should probably be added to the page itself, so people don't keep trying to re-unlock the adventure.--Zeviz 01:34, 3 July 2007 (CDT)

Took me 7 adventures after reading the book. --Starwed 12:11, 8 November 2007 (CST)

I read all three chapters in order, then burned 20 adventures in the conservatory without getting the tombstone. Then, after going back to the library and re-reading chapter 2, I got it on the first try. Could someone else try to reproduce this? Perhaps the mechanism is that reading chapter 2 sets a seven-adventure "countdown", but the adventure is only given out if chapter two is the most-recently read one. Occam's Razor says "hooey", but the fact that Starwed, Zeviz, and Zeitgeist all burned seven before hitting it makes me wonder. --Frod 10:05, 3 December 2007 (CST)

I read chapter 2 and went straight from there to the conservatory, and it was the first adventure for me. It might be worth mentioning that I'd been adventuring for a while in the conservatory before I read the chapter. --Senrence 01:40, 4 December 2007 (CST)

If anybody gets this adventure in LESS than 7 turns, and you were not adventuring in the conservatory before hand, please post!--Mailbox head 08:02, 4 December 2007 (CST)

I got this adventure right after reading the right chapter. I have adventured in the conservatory before on this ascension, but not immediately before reading the chapter and going to the conservatory. Do we need to have never adventured in the conservatory during this ascension or just not adventured right before reading the chapter and then going back to the conservatory? --Bianca 07:53, 22 January 2008 (CST)

Got this adventure after 3 turns only and had not previously adventured in the conservatory--The duke of doi tung 06:20, 23 January 2008 (CST)

I'm spending so many adventures trying to get it.

So. Is this a superlikely?

How could we spade it? -Tannenzaepfle 21:14, 24 April 2008 (CDT)

Superlikely or not, I've never gotten it on my first adventure but I have successfully done free runs away from every enemy until the adventure showed up on the eighth encounter or so. --maharito 09:54, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm not seeing why there should be a reference to Pet Semetary on this page. The general area is a reference, but not this exact adventure.--Harkibald 16:46, 19 October 2011 (CEST)
