Talk:Ponderous Potency

From A KoL Wiki

Since weapon damage is based on muscle, weapon, and monster level, I tried this is at a couple of different levels. Once in the laboratory, with the MCD on 11, and again in the Dire Warren, no boost.

Lab: 106 Muscle, 30 weapon, MCD at 11, I was getting:

  • 53-56 w/o PPP, 76-79 with (Very Mad Scientist)
  • 58-62 w/o PPP, 80-82 with (Mad Scientist)

Dire Warren: 107 Muscle, 110 weapon, no MCD, I was getting:

  • 120-125 w/o PPP, 139-149 w PPP.

These are pretty small sample sizes. If the formula under Weapon Damage is correct, this is roughly +22 per hit. Which is weird, because it should be a multiple of 5.--Foggy 12:59, 29 June 2006 (CDT)

The best way to test melee damage increasers is to NOT use a weapon and hit a monster not substantially weaker than you, so that you always do 1 damage (before any increasers). With this method, it's easy to see that it is a gain of +20. --Ragnok 23:45, 11 July 2006 (CDT)
