Talk:Prismatic wad
While I wasn't thinking it would work, pulverizing something with Prismatic Damage does not obtain this item. Pulverized a obsidian dagger and got sleaze powder. ДҖ--Finalheaven63talk 23:52, 15 July 2008 (CDT)
The way to obtain this item is to use the skillbook being sold by the Trader today (July 15th's rollover, 2008). Then have a wad of each element and use the new skill. Note: You can only use this skill 3 times a day.--LostDreams 00:02, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
I noticed the lack of mysticality weapon in the wad's meatsmithing uses, perhaps it is a component to yet another chefstaff?--Chemistron 02:34, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
I haven't found a pants recipe yet that works, alas...--Urizenxvii 05:23, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
Looking at Items by number (3400-3499), I have to believe that there are more recipes with this item. At least, I want to believe that. Granted, related content isn't always lumped together by item number, but it sure would be nice if there were four more prismatic wad-related items. --Southwest 13:46, 16 July 2008 (CDT)
It seems more likely to me that this would be referencing the Three-Course Dinner Chewing Gum, if anything, from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Even that seems doubtful... the reference listed should probably be removed for lack of any obvious link to the Everlasting Gobstopper. --MattG987 20:20, 16 July 2008 (CDT) I agree with this.--PsychoBoy 15:00, 18 July 2008 (CDT)
I'm not sure of the name of the gum, but there used to be a rainbow gum sold when I was a kid, I'm not sure if it's sold now or if/when it was discontinued. I want to say there was a giraffe on the package. It was fruit flavors, similar to lifesavers, but it was 1 flavor per stick. I don't think there's ever been a gum that changes flavor :P Anyways, I hope this sparks a memory of the gum from somebody else, hopefully they can provide a name for it. --Neuroticpunk 04:45, 19 July 2008 (CDT)
I think I know what you're talking about, but didn't it have a zebra on it? And little "tattoo" thingys on the wrappers? Edit: Found it. Fruit Stripe Gum? --Jeram 14:42, 19 July 2008 (CDT)
I've looked for a staff, but with no luck. I've tried smithing all the staves that are meatsmithable with the wad, with the SC skill. Nothing. --Shademaster00 11:17, 17 July 2008 (CDT)
Given the item number, I think that groovy prism necklace may be made with using the prismatic wad. But how? --Sparksol (t|c) 10:05, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
It does seem very probable that this is a reference to the three-course gum in Charlie and the Chocolate factory. After all, that precise incident from the book is also referenced in the Pressurized potion of perception (Violet turns into a blueberry once she gets to the blueberry pie flavour of the gum), so it is unlikely that the similarity here is coincidence --Campboy 14:58, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
