Jick jar

Things that DO NOT get you Jick's Jar

  • Not on his character page
  • EDIT: It seems, according to the forums, that it IS on his character page, but somehow limited? I.E. the link (supposedly) appeared for some people, but not for most, and has not reappeared for the ones who got it before. Currently the mechanism for how to get access to Jicks Psychoanalyze button on his profile page are unknown.
  • Not in his mall store
  • Not via his clan
  • Not through his display case

Is Jick anywhere IN GAME?--TiwazTyrsfist 14:32, 4 January 2013 (CET)

Considering each zone has a secret legendary sword, has anyone tried getting one and then trying for a jick jar? Discordance 13:07, 6 January 2013 (CET)

Drop rate

Does not drop often. 100+ kills and I've gotten only one so far. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 06:24, 1 January 2013 (CET)

  • Jick has confirmed that you only get one per day, period. There is no limit to how much you can adventure in a jar after attaining it, as far as we've found. --Ariamaki 06:51, 1 January 2013 (CET)
    • Ascension doesn't reset the limit. --Jerseyboy 00:33, 2 January 2013 (CET)
    • I think that Ascension does reset the daily limit on jars, because I got a jar, ascended, then got another jar. --Bobbaganoosh 09:48, 2 January 2013 (CET)

NPCs

Confirmed NPCs who can be Psychoanalyzed:

  • Crackpot Mystic
  • Captain of the Gourd
  • The Meatsmith
  • Pretentious Artist
  • The Suspicious-Looking Guy
  • Old Man By the Sea

--Ariamaki 06:51, 1 January 2013 (CET)

Campground

When you use it, A Couch Next to A Jar appears in your camp ground, linked to whichever psychosis you've jarred.

Spading

  • Questions:
    • Can you have more than one full jar at a time (collecting one per day)?
    • Can you adventure in them while drunk? Nope!

--acm 11:20, 3 January 2013 (EST)

  • More questions:
    • Are full jars consumed by any means?
    • If not, when does the content "reset"? The Artist is one meal per day, what about the others, when is the content repeatable? --Jimfromtx 10:33, 6 January 2013 (CET)

One use/day

Even if you have 2 jars in inventory, I'm finding you can only acquire one NPC's psychoses each day. Anyone else to confirm this?

Extra jars are pretty much useless junk, then, unless you forget to go farming with your jung man that day. Cone of Cold 03:43, 5 January 2013 (CET)

Removing jars from the campground

So far I have managed to remove 2 jars from the campground, doing so let me buy another from the mall and do two in the same day. Captain of the gourds jar seems to disappear by itself, and SLGs disappears when you visit the parade after the quest. Do the others have mechanisms like this too or not? Discordance 12:47, 6 January 2013 (CET)

  • The couch and jar always disappear from the campground during rollover. From what I've seen in the wiki the there's some kind of you're done adventure for every zone, once you're done with it. When you add a note about couch and jar disappearing to the appropriate adventures I'm sure other psychoanalysts will do the same. --Yatsufusa 21:16, 6 January 2013 (CET)
  • No way to remove the meatsmith jar, despite having completed it -- acm 9:34, 9 January 2013 (EST)
    • Per the radio show it seems it was a coding misunderstanding, possibly all jars were removable in the first few days but at this point none are anymore. Discordance 15:54, 9 January 2013 (CET)

Possible 8th jar?

I know we're still figuring stuff out, but do you think we could be missing an 8th psychosis? The reason I'm even bring up this is because we don't know what item 3903 is and it's smack dab in the middle of 2 other jars. --JohnAnon 08:38, 16 January 2013 (CET)

It's possible that there was an idea for an 8th Jar, but it did not make the final cut. That sometimes causes holes in the item numbering. Of more significance is that on the KoL facebook page it specifically said that there were 7, so there is probably not an 8th. --Bale 11:20, 16 January 2013 (CET)

  • the announcement did say there was a "buttload" which suggests that one of the other faxables has (or had) one. if it's riff then the method of getting it will be impossibly fiendish. --Evilkolbot 13:05, 16 January 2013 (CET)
  • Thank you, Bale! Kingdom of Loathing's facebook-page said indeed: "The Angry Jung Man doesn't unlock three zones as usual--there are SEVEN new places to explore, all based on the psychoses of your favorite Non-Player Characters." It would have been really nice of them if that kind of precise information had have been posted in a more KoL-related place. --Yatsufusa 15:04, 16 January 2013 (CET)
