New 2023 Talk

Popped one of these on an old Pastamancer who still had them, it seems like they now "upgrade" your current Thrall instead? I already had a level 10 thrall when I tried, so I'm not sure if the upgrade simply refers to their level. More modern testing may be beneficial, if anybody else has any left. --Tokoshoran (talk) 23:57, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

Old 2008 talk

after use, allows you to summon your ethereal undead macaroni to help in combat.

Seems to be a low power Damage over Time - Mine was doing 5-7 Spooky damage against dooks. Lasts until you kill the monster, then you have to resummon at the start of the next round. And it's wicked cute looking :D

Initial Summon - You focus your thoughts and call out to <Name>. He claws his way up from beneath the ground at your feet.

Next few rounds - <Name> bites your opponent for X damage. (spooky) <ranges 5-7>

Doesn't change damage against spooky mobs - just does 1.

Seems to have the capacity to level up too!

Tipperhats bites your opponent for 1 damage.

You win the fight!

<name> looks stronger...

Certainly seems to be a fun thing to play with, and should make PM a more interesting class!--Denarius 10:19, 11 April 2008 (CDT)

I tried to use the item after using the tendrils and it said:

"Using this item will sever your connection with Shooshuuu (my lihc). Are you sure you want to do this?"

So it seems that you can only have one summonable at a time. I clicked "yes" and did not get my shimmering tendrils back. Bummer.--WillGruff 10:30, 11 April 2008 (CDT)

Sold 2 and found the plural for this item. "You sell your 2 quasi-ethereal macaroni fragmentss to a hermetic seal for 400 Meat."--Vladimir 20:08, 21 May 2008 (CDT)

Unenchantment

So these, and presumably, the other summoning items now have "Only Pastamancers may use this item." in blue at the bottom, sans the "Enchantment" heading. Looks like it's time to figure out how to get the item template to do this, too. --TechSmurf 22:23, 14 June 2008 (CDT)

Good luck with that. --Flargen 22:33, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
Yeah, templates and I don't get along. I'm passing this along to someone who isn't me. --TechSmurf 22:41, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
It occurs to me that updating the item template will likely cause the wiki to go down for a fair amount of time, since it will subsequently update every single page that uses it. Bagatelle has mentioned that it seems a change was made to the crit multiplier not-stacking text on items, too. See Discussion#Template Updates Required. --Flargen 00:34, 15 June 2008 (CDT)

Spirit Names

I thought I'd add a section if people want to add Spirit names.

Here's the one I got.
