Could the miss message "It snaps at you with its bill, but you snap back that it should cut it out." be a reference to Cosgrove of the cartoon Freakazoid! ? That's the first thing that comes to mind for me. Cosgrove could stop anyone in their tracks simply by saying "Cut it out." in an authoritative voice. Statistics

I added the drop rate as 6.5% +/- 2%. This is based off the fact that in 646 adventures I yoinked 42 tapes.

Doing a weighted average, including my pickpocket data, gives a drop rate of 6.15% +/- 0.6% (1 std dev). I thought it interesting that of the 4 sets of data, 3 gave the drop rate as being ~6.5%, with one giving 5%. --Starwed 15:43, 29 January 2008 (CST)

Do we know the meat triangulation formula? I just got 1394meat with +481.1974 meat (65lb monkey, polka, stainless steel slacks, duct tape shirt, cup of infinite pencils, wossname, natty ascot, and Baron's money clip, and winklered), which makes the drop only 240 meat.--Top1214 16:16, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Quick Meat

You may only get it for a few turns, but this place is great for meat farming. With a Leprechaun (pet-buffing-spray'd to level 24), Tip jar, white collar, lucky rabbit's foot, and the Spades jacket, plus nasal spray and the Annoy-o-Tron at +10, I'm clocking in at the high 800's all the way up to just over 1000 meat per battle. Heh, doubled my yield, popping up close to 2000, sometimes over. My Leprechaun is only buffed to 18 this time, but I've got Mick's IcyVapoHotness Inhaler (wish I'd thought of that sooner), a Bag of Cheat-Os, my Seeger's Unstoppable Banjo and both Disco meat combos going (disco and rave). Stacking up the Rave Combo in advance helps. This is certainly the place to get nine turns of awesome meat drops. --Kilyle 11:04, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
