Talk:Roy Orbison Disguise

From A KoL Wiki

I removed this phrase, "unless you are patient and have a wand, in which case you can make it with 21." As I have zapped the clingfilm slippers and they do not zap. I am sure that they will in the future, but until then I do not believe that it should be stated that you can. --Jairen1 17:56, 5 December 2007 (CST)

I cannot equip the outfit via the Dress Up! button; it states "That set isn't implemented yet." Yet I can equip all the pieces. However, that doesn't change my avatar. Maybe Asym has to rest for a few days (or have moved on to more deviously healthy Crimbo content) before they do something here. I'm curious as to how somebody acquired the outfit picture, though, since the set apparently is in the state of the disturbing fanfic. --TW 15:05, 7 December 2007 (CST)

  • I may be able to answer both questions, one the picture was most likely obtained through url manipulation. And as far as changing into the outfit, my guess is that this uses the new outfit code but since part of it is still in testing it is unavailable for the time. --Chunky_boo 15:30, 7 December 2007 (CST)
  • I equipped each piece and got the outfit picture. It might be that the picture only shows for male characters, or something. --Poring_Slayer 00:57, 7 December 2007 (CST)

I got the outfit, and the tattoo. My avatar changed as well. --Sarghi 20:50, 11 December 2007 (EST)

Effect

I seriously doubt the effect listed (+3 Moxie +3 Mysticality if worn at rollover). Can someone confirm this for me? It doesn't make sense, nor does it function like any other mechanic in the game. --TechSmurf 17:15, 7 March 2008 (CST)

  • As I thought, nada. I have no idea how Emmacrew came up with that, but that's not it. --TechSmurf 17:04, 10 March 2008 (CDT)

No effect on spell damage, MP restoration, elemental resistance, stats. The plot thickens! --TechSmurf 02:55, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

I've also been able to rule out weapon damage, meat bonus, experience, regeneration, buff length, or buff cost. It also appears unlikely to be item drops, improved use of combat items, damage absorption, combat initiative, or combat frequency. I haven't tested ranged weight, critical hit percentage, fumble percentage, damage reduction (although the test for damage absorption generally rules out DR), or something turtle-based.--Foggy 14:14, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
