Looking into the Portal
The following wiki text is ambiguous: "Each clue indicates one or two possible vices. If an individual clue suggests two vices, one — but not necessarily both — of those vices will be true."
The first sentence can be read as "Each clue indicates one possible vice or two possible vices". The second sentence clarifies that if there are two possible vices suggested by the clue, then at least one of them will be true. This leaves it unclear... if a clue indicates only one vice, will that always be true? --RogerMexico (talk) 18:27, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

First time trying this out. One of these i mastered RIGHT away. Another one says "20"ish more tries and the third says "60ish" more tires. Are they related to primary and secondary stats? Is it more productive to practice some skill as a TT versus as an AT? --Plater (t|c) 13:54, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
I was awarded Rumplestiltz for 41 kids. I was second on the leaderboard at that time.
"Wow. 41 kids! That's really good! You decide to reward yourself with something extra nice."--Graymalkin (#624900) (talk) 06:01, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
- I got 32 kids, and didn't get a bonus reward. —Yendor (talk) 06:48, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
There are odd interactions with spooky putty sheets here. If you fight 6 monsters and then fight a puttied monster, you seem to be able to fight six more monsters. (This might skip one of your portal visits, I'm not 100% certain -- but may work if you do it as your last trip.) Gemelli doesn't *think* this is a bug but is checking with Hotstuff. --Aelfinn (talk) 22:39, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
I was able to verify 73 of the 84 clue-vice pairings using a data set from 60 portal trips. I am crossing off additional pairings as I encounter them. The pairings still in question are the following:
Va ...putting in a teeth-whitening tray. Va ...putting a golden ring on each finger. Gr ...shining a golden chalice to a reflective finish. Va ...checking for stretch marks while downing a huge chocolate shake. Vi ...throwing a bag of chips on the ground and stomping on it to open it. Vi ...tearing down the blinds to peep out of the window.

"You peer through the portal into a house full of activity. Children are everywhere! The portal lets you watch them and their parents without fear of being noticed. You see the mother cutting a huge piece of cake to eat alone. You watch some of the many children play for awhile, and then you see the father peeking through the blinds at the attractive neighbors. You're distracted by yet more kids romping around, and when you look back you see the father trying to squeeze into a girdle. Then the portal shimmers and you see no more."
I was able to get kids from the father with both Lust and Vanity items. It seems parents can have more than two vices. --Vorzer (talk) 14:29, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
