• I just copied the seal with my rain-doh black box, and the copied seals didn't give me a burst of stench damage when I fought them. I can't be sure if this is just because I had more stench resistance at the time than I did when fighting in the abyssal portal itself. DaveK (talk) 11:52, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Actually, I can; I was fighting copymonsters with far less stench resistance (moderate - 3) than during combat in the portal (Very Extremely Amazingly High - 15). I expect this is a bug. DaveK (talk) 11:55, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

• From experience I'd say it's about the zone. Copied underwater monsters stop reacting to underwater-only mechanics as well. (You don't need a breathing apparatus, can't use taffy on them and so on.) --Yatsufusa (talk) 11:59, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Crystalline seal eye drop rate

+1,009.87% item drops for 10 combats and +686.63% over two have only gotten me 12 potions. Might be just my bad luck, but I'm assuming there's a rejection rate on the seal eye, like with the hot eggs back then. --Yatsufusa (talk) 15:05, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

• +1,006.37% for 15 advs, 956.37% for 5 advs and 2 adventures worth of around 500-600%, which I failed to document properly. Still no eye. There are players at the forums that claim to have watched higher success rates amongst those who did buff +item drops, but with numbers more modest. --Yatsufusa (talk) 16:35, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
• You may try increasing your resistance to the appropriate element. I was able to get both the eye and the shield, with +22 resist and only 88% +item. I had no luck on a multi with minimal resist (+5-9) and 500-888% +item. Of course the RNG may have smiled on me, never know with such a low turn count.--MageRed (talk) 00:58, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
  • I fought 22 scouts at +26 and some amount of +item between 250 and 350. I got no crystalline eyes. And a lot fewer tears than previous days. (I did have an eye equipped.)   • I have dis-proven my theory as well. My multi (no crystalline yet) did all 6 portals today with >32 resist in all elements (110% +item) and still had none of the special drops. Sigh. Looks like another .1% drop rate item.--MageRed (talk) 23:11, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
