Talk:Skeletal sommelier
No hit moxie is at least 133. I was only missed once, so it is likely within 10-15 of that number.--Blastphemist 02:35, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
I did 160 damage to this guy on my first damage round, and it didn't kill him, so his HP is at least 161. Oh yeah, and I was missed once at 115 Moxie. The message was "He attempts to stab you with a corkscrew, but you object to all this screwing around." Maybe that's the fumbling message?--RegalStar 10:46, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
I was fighting a sommolier and got 4 bottles of wine. Thus, the "3 bottles per corner" rule is incorrect.--Pastian 07:40, 7 July 2007 (CDT)
- The 3 bottles rule only applies if you are adventuring by clicking on the wine racks every time. On the turns that you adventure from the "Adventure again" or "Last adventure" links, there's no sub-area selected, so all 6 bottles are available. See "Dusty bottle of wine" page for details. --Jimfromtx 11:53, 19 July 2007 (CDT)
I think the stab you in the eye and offer it to you to sniff message might actually be the critical hit message. I saw that numerous times while adventuring with a high moxie, but never saw any other hit messages, including the supposed critical hit message.--MicheleColeman 02:18, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
- Then yes, that one would be the crit. People are just guessing as to what is the crit or fumble unless they're outmoxieing, getting hit by everything except the fumble, or temporarily blind. You can do it to a lesser extent with how much the messages turn up, or what they say, but you're not guaranteed to be correct.--Ryo Sangnoir 02:27, 18 July 2007 (CDT)
The moxie for no hit is higher. I just got hit twice in a row with (different) normal attacks with a buffed mox of 176. --Parroharro 02:41, 11 September 2007 (CDT)
- Moxie for no hit is more than 179 as I just got hit with a regular attack at that moxie. Yvain 00:36, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- The current convention on the Wiki is to ignore ML variance and calculate safe Moxie purely from attack strength. If you wish to change the convention, please post a thread in Proposed Standards or Discussion, as modifying every single monster page could quickly get out of hand. --Bagatelle 00:51, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

108 sommeliers, 17 bone chips dropped at +180-190% item drop (BBB was leveling up). I will do more maff on this in the morning, but I;m fairly sure that puts it at a 5% drop. --Top1214 08:23, 2 September 2011 (CEST)
70 sommeliers at +360% yielded 15 chips. Expect 12.6 for 5% drop, 25.2 for 10% drop. Very likely 5% drop.--Top1214 22:49, 5 September 2011 (CEST)
Wine Drops
- i was under the impression that the monsters in each corner only drop three of the wines. i just got all six. is this just SSPD, or has this changed? --Evilkolbot 06:54, 13 November 2007 (CST)
- It's actually a bug that Jick can't seem to fix it has something to do with the subsnaf coding of the zone. He attempted it once and it didn't work as well as he hoped and he hasn't attempted it again. --Chunky_boo 07:30, 13 November 2007 (CST)
- Yeah, I thought I'd heard this was fixed, but just got a 5-drop... --Starwed 20:38, 25 April 2008 (CDT)
