Talk:Spaghetti Elemental (Pasta Thrall)/Old

From A KoL Wiki

Level 5: SshoTodopotodono wraps its pasty tendrils around your opponent, leeching away some of their life-force. They are noticeably weakened by the attack.--Toffile 21:47, 19 February 2010 (UTC) Level 7 - image changes--Toffile 06:40, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

i no longer recieve message about the entity leveling up, although image change implies that the level up happenned. anyone else getting it? --Hrag 16:09, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Name Change

I counted the number of syllables in the example names, and they don't go all the way to level 10. I have a level 10 Spaghetti Elemental, named SshoZonogomopogomomomomomo. Do other people's names repeat as well? --Ghux 23:30, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Hmmmmm.... i recall -nononono in the end too --Hrag 20:04, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Leveling to 3 in One Day

So... the only way to complete the Pastamancer Nemesis quest in a single day is to know in advance that you've got to save all 10 spice combats, use 9 to level up (without dying once), and use the tenth on a cultist (again, without dying)? (Not a big deal, but interesting.) --Kilyle 10:27, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Possible Reference

In one of the Discworld books (by Terry Pratchet) an ancient wizard is brought back to life, destroying a statue of himself in the process. A young wizard-in-training who had earlier peed on the statue as a drunken joke breaks down in his presence, stammering something similar to what the spaghetti cultist says when you summon the elemental in front of him. Anyone know which book it is?--Zorkman 01:39, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

  • I think it was Mort, when Albert returns to UU. --Feliks 14:41, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

What Does it Do?

The sentence "Delevels 1 to level, which both attack and defense calculated separately." doesn't make any sense to me. I'd rewrite it to make it clearer but I don't know what the summon does which is what I came here to find out. --Kitsunegami 00:23, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

According to Pasta Guardians, it deals damage and delevels but, as a simple summary table, doesn't give details on how much damage is dealt or the monster is deleveled. --Kitsunegami 00:26, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
  • I guess the damage amount needs spading. The de-leveling reduces the monster attack power by 1 to X, and monster defense by 1 to X, where X is the Spaghetti Elemental's level. The attack and defense deleveling are calculated separately (so may not be the same). Presumably that only happens when the Spaghetti Elemental is at level 5 or higher. --Fig bucket 00:37, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

How much damage?

With MCD @ 11, with a spaghetti elemental at weight 7-9, it is one-shotting low level enemies (in the haunted kitchen), *when* it attacks.

Tomorrow I'll have it at level 10, and take it on a tour around the kingdom, with my Regalia on. (see Evil Bovine, not Hastifer)--Hastifer 20:09, 22 August 2012 (CEST)

Ok at level 10 it STOPS its deleveling/damaging attack. But I got a few rounds in with level 9, wherein it did anywhere from 20-32 damage per attack, at a rate of something like 33% to 35%. Only sampled three monsters, though, so not conclusive there.

All with level 9, ML 11:

  • c.h.u.m. took 8 hits after I had reduced it to 164-177 hp
  • lumberjack supervisor took 2 hits
  • scorced duck took 6 hits
At level 10, it starts spamming the equivalent of entangling noodles. Once it has them in the noodles, it keeps spamming it, enough to keep them entangled for the rest of the combat. (Or so it seems, it kept three separate ducks entangled for 30 rounds each).
It might not noodle right away, but if you noodle right after summoning it, you can basically keep the foe entangled (unless it's a tangle-proof foe)
