Talk:Spellslinging
The pages says, "This strategy was pioneered by Suzy III." I find this pretty strange, since this strategy was used by most speed ascenders before the whole LTS synergy thing started. I suspect this is another case of someone reiventing the wheel. Is there some evidence that Suzy III really was the first one to come up with the idea of maximizing spell damange killing before being hit? --Crowther 15:55, 21 August 2006 (CDT)
Is there a reason why neither of concentrates of concentration are listed?--Foggy 17:04, 21 August 2006 (CDT)
How is this page anything but a incomplete sauceror's POV of Bonus Spell Damage + Maximizing Your Spell Damage? This is what all mysticality classes do (unless they are LTSing), it's not really new or creative, but quite standard and usual. If it matters ar all, the account "Suzy III" was created a month after ascension rolled out. --JRSiebz (☎|§|‡) 20:35, 21 August 2006 (CDT)
- For strategy pages, I wouldn't sweat it; this page serves it purpose however small. The Suzy III should probably be removed though.--Dehstil (t|c) 20:54, 21 August 2006 (CDT)
I think you may be over-simplifying the strategy. It's more than just piling on +spell damage and throwing Wave of Sauce or Weapon at monsters to get through an ascension as a Myst class. The reason for the Sauceror POV is that no Pasta skills offer +spell damage. The first player I ever heard advocating spells instead of LTS was Suzy III, so I was trying to give credit where it was due. Sorry if that was incorrect.--Code 13:44, 22 August 2006 (CDT)
How come for immaculate seasoning it says that you can count on double damgae against all the elements except hot?--Vhalantru 21:41, 13 December 2006 (CST)
Immaculate Seasoning won't deal double damage against hot because Sauceror spells it applys to only come in two elements: Cold and Hot, and neither of those deal double damage to Hot.--Chish 18:17, 17 December 2006 (CST)
Why doesn't the items section include plexiglass pinky ring, a +30 spell damage item, and a HC Sauceror reward to boot? Yeah it is a high prereq, but if you are a mys class you'll get there. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 15:29, 26 March 2007 (CDT)
This page should probably mention entangling noodles, as this is one of the only draws to use this strategy over LTS (since the thrust smacks break the noodles). Also, this only mentions weapons that increase spell damage. It should probably mention common accessories, such as the baconstone pendant, enchanted toothpick, stainless steel scarf, and plexiglass pinky ring.--Wildfire393 21:25, 7 May 2007 (CDT)
While we have no evidence that Suzy III created this strategy, I feel we should have a link to the strategy guide she made, so I added a link.--Chish 10:58, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Shouldn't this page be marked as NS-13 obsolete? Given the changes in the way Sauce spells work, stacking on damage boosters (the centerpiece of this skill) has very tight limits.--Belboz 14:08, 20 July 2007 (CDT)
