Two Versions of Each Gremlin?

I've had that mating attack not deal sleaze damage a coupple of times, although it does also deal it... perchance the spider gremlins switch around every now and again?--Argus 00:26, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

My own suspicion is that there's two versions of each gremlin -- one with the tool, and one without. That's how the same kind of gremlin will make an attack with a molybdenum tool in one area if you haven't retrieved it yet, but not once you retrieve the tool or in the other areas. I believe the spider gremlin with the pliers does physical damage when it tries to mate, whereas the version without does sleaze. That's because I encountered two spider gremlins when trying to get the pliers: one did sleaze damage and didn't use the pliers in 30 rounds (suggesting it isn't even on its attack text list), the other did physical damage and used the pliers right away.

If this is the case, it'll probably be necessary (or at least very useful) to make seperate versions for each gremlin. Since, y'know, they have different attack messages (beyond the mere difference of elemental damage -- I actually saw some different messages, too!) and it's useful to know the gremlin you're fighting doesn't have a tool so you can kill it instead of getting beat up for 30 rounds.--Temporary man 15:24, 30 July 2007 (CDT)
