Talk:Stasis

From A KoL Wiki

What about using either a seal tooth or spices in combat to draw it out now that the old strategy doesn't work as well? They do low damage and don't get used up, so while you're doing damage, it's still very low so a lot of turns could still be taken advantage of using this strategy.--Hamelin 00:02, 24 May 2006 (CDT)

Thorns?

I've never, ever heard stasis called this... however, I have heard it called the onion. (because, you know, it has layers). --Aprocalypse 15:05, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

I don't know about thorns, but "stasis" has pedigree. Stoop was the first to draw my attention to the possibilities of Jabanero sphere and called it "The Onion" for the reason Apro mentions. I used the technique for the first 5 day ascensions late November 2005, then decided to spoiler it to the good folks at Hardcore Oxygenation somewhere in January. "Onion" didn't sound right, so I called it "stasis" in reference to the MtG card of the same name. My reasoning was that you keep yourself stable while the monster screws himself over by having to attack ("tap") every turn. I've never heard it referred to as either SauceSynergy or Thorns, and "Stasis" is accepted usage by now. --Strangerer 18:28, 21 October 2006 (CDT)

I think we should mention some more of the other skills used with this method. --Chish 15:49, 20 June 2006 (CDT)

Are spirit hoboes used with this technique? --Shokwave 06:51, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

Scroll of Turtle Summoning

Using this item is a great stasis strategy. It causes 1-3 damage per turn and has infinite usage.
