Talk:Strange leaflet

From A KoL Wiki

Reference?

Could be a coincidence, but you get this leaflet at level 9, it's a text adventure, and there was a text adventure game company called Level 9 Computing.--Tingly 23:17, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

  • Seems plausible to me; Level 9 was pretty well known for its text adventure games. --Itsatrap 04:27, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
    • just a title, so it's probably coincidence. ask jick on the radio, i'm probably wrong. --Evilkolbot 05:59, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Secret words

Could I get confirmation that these are not included by dev request? I was told that because of this putting them in was a quick way to get banned. If nothing else it couldn't hurt to have it mentioned on the talk page, if only so that over enthusiastic junior wiki folk don't wind up with an accidental ban. Thanks much! :) --gringrim 12:40, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

  • There's a long history to this; check out the talk page of the Strange Leaflet Quest. Different versions in the Revision history contain more, if you want to experience the full saga. --Fig bucket 19:17, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
  • Thanks much! It's good to know - glad everyone dogpiled me quickly enough to stop me from getting myself banned. It was great to get the input. -- GrinGrim 21:05, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

Drunk

I don't see this mentioned anywhere else (is it new?) - reading the strange leaflet while drunk gives you the standard adventure text and input box interface; the initial text says:

This massive table is laid out for a light meal of epic proportions. The two giant shot glasses have been knocked over, and the contents have spilled and drained away.

I've been unable to find a command that does anything useful while in this state.

  • Are you sure you haven't finished already? That's the text it shows when you renter the leaflet after completing the quest.... --Fig bucket 16:32, 3 January 2012 (CET)

Ahem: DOH! Yes, that's it of course. I last ascended back in the ancient days (stopped playing for a few years), so I've been going back and making sure I did the stuff I missed - I had thought the strange leaflet was consumed on usage. --Digneyfingus 17:09, 3 January 2012 (CET)
