Don't hate me for being dumb, just fix anything wrong you see.

It seems my opponent is geting poked in the eye in any round in which the opponent hits me. I think it's quite possible the effect may act like the acid-squirting flower or bottle opener belt buckle. --Terion 10:17, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
In battling a monster I didn't need to hurt it as much as spaded of that monster. --GothicWonder 21:46, 2 April 2008 (GMT)
Poking makes me think of reducing monster level, which would fit what you mentioned Gothic.

De-levelling doesn't reduce HP, though, right? I guess the best way to test for a damaging effect would be with a toy space helmet and/or detective skull? I'm in hardcore, but I might have a multi able to check this out. --Terion 00:41, 3 April 2008 (CDT)
Definitely not blocking-- never happens. Also unlikely to affect HP, as no "for X hit points" is mentioned and same damage appears necessary for defeat. Update "Effect?" to Deleveling, please. --MrGuy 13:34, 4 April 2008 (CDT)
I just ascended and used this affect. I failed to hit the monster, my familiar didn't attack and I got the message about poking the monster. I won the fight just from that.
Makes me think it does damage in some way or another - piglet
I just fought some bunnies with this effect on, as well as Inspired! and Tenacious Grip on Reality (which lowered my moxie to 1).
I hit with a Miniborg hiveminder each time, and had equipped three of the tiny plastic monsters, giving a level of 4 for each bunny. That should translate to 4 hp for the monster. I got the message once or twice for each rabbit, only when hit by the rabbit. The bunny died after 1 or 2 messages, indicating that this does 4 or more damage, and as little as 1-3 damage.--Foggy 14:27, 12 April 2008 (CDT)
Yeah, I'm guessing it's 2-4 from the limited testing I did. Also, it's definitely not deleveling. --Prestige 06:09, 23 April 2008 (CDT)
Against bunnies (at various MLs), using Toy Space Helmet and Clockwork Detective Skull to try and determine an accurate HP reading and using a dictionary to get hit while doing nothing... At +1 ML, bunnies survived one hit. At +5 ML, bunnies never died in one hit. 1-5 damage! --TechSmurf 03:36, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
