Talk:Sucker bucket

From A KoL Wiki

Ah, why would anyone use this over a peanut brittle shield? Maybe if they had less than 10 muscle?!?--Dunsel 18:55, 6 December 2011 (CET)

  • Noboy who knows about the shield. But there are players who log in, burn their adventures and log out without even joining chat or consulting the wiki. I guess there might be even players that don't know about the wiki... And of course, while there are plenty peanut brittle shields, their supply is limited. From a developers standpoint it doesn't hurt to make sure. --Yatsufusa 19:31, 6 December 2011 (CET)

Can you even get the peanut brittle shield while in trendy? If not, then that's another reason. Spriteless 23:01, 6 December 2011 (CET)

I'm removing the peanut brittle shield-link under the See Also section. While it's true that people who find the sucker bucket interesting will find the shield interesting, we don't put lists of each and every similar item on a page. I think Items from Monsters cuts it pretty well already. --Yatsufusa 03:17, 7 December 2011 (CET)

  • Yeah, I don't really mind it not being under the See Also section. I just added the note because its really useful knowledge, and the items from monster page isn't really formatted to show the relationship.--Toffile 08:08, 7 December 2011 (CET)
    • That, then, is a problem with the items from monsters page. If we have notes like this here, we might as well add things to pages like the Moonthril Cuirass that say "this isn't as good as the Grimacite gown". I think those notes have no right being there. --Erich 09:26, 7 December 2011 (CET)

that's enough reverting now. i have to say i agree that there's no place on item pages for "this isn't as good as..." editorialising. sure, on maximising or howto pages, but not here. i vote the page stays as it is, without any mention of peanut brittle shields. --Evilkolbot 13:41, 7 December 2011 (CET)

  • Would you mind if we add a list of the candy drop bonus items to Candy? There's only about 6 things with that effect, so it's far too few for a maximizing page.--Toffile 17:07, 7 December 2011 (CET)
    • Sounds like an okay strategy for now to me. The specialized +item drop bonuses are a challenge for the typical maximizing page format. Most of the time you don't really care about +candy drops or +pants drops might be useless, but then there are those times you really do care about candy. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 18:47, 7 December 2011 (CET)
