Talk:Tango of Terror
Cant believe no one made referece to Dick Barton here, there was a book (and play) called the Tango of Terror which was part of the Dick Barton series, I know cause I featured in a production of it as the BBC Announcer :)
EDIT: Also, just realised (and this is a real longshot) but many people refer to a Disco Bandit as a DB, DB was Dick Barton's nickname coming from his sidekicks. Longshot I know, but you never know...

It only takes one to tango like you do, because this particular tango is spooky... Your opponent seems to be a little freaked out by it, and takes X damage.
was using this on the dancing zombies in the haunted ballroom, here's my results:
with 147 buffed mox, 125 base mox: 15-18 damage
with 140 buffed, 128 base: 15-18 damage

Damage is spooky (if the description didn't clue you in...).
I got the following results against an Alphabet Giant with moxie of 154(91):
15,16,16,16,17,17,17,17,17,18 - seems very skewed toward the center, and looking non-stat-dependent.--LfO 11:42, 21 September 2006 (CDT)
Does this skill have a delevelling effect like other DB skills? --LittleMatty 13:11, 22 September 2006 (CDT)
It appears to. I haven't tested it enough to see the actual levels though. --Jaolen 00:54, 24 September 2006 (CDT)
The deleveling is enough to make the NS' first form immediately shimmer. It does not do the same on the second form. --Kyree 21:27, 14 October 2006 (CDT)
I just thought I'd mention, I saw this skill appear on my list of skills in combat for a short period of time a few days before Spookyraven was put in, but I couldn't use it (it said I didn't know that skill). Did anyone else notice that? It was probably just there for a few minutes for testing or something, but I thought it was amusing once the skill was put in and I realized I hadn't imagined it :) --Nifty Nobu 09:20, 14 November 2006 (CST)
Just wondering - is there anything I can do to help figure out how much this de-levels? Just tell me what to do and how to document it and I can burn through a few hundred adventures furthering the cause. --DreamTheEndless 17:11, 17 May 2007 (CDT)
Well, considering that Fearful Fettucini is basically Weapon of the Pastalord with a spooky element, the 15-18 damage range, and the fact that it makes the first form of the NS shimmer (which is anything over 6 ML), I'd have to guess that this is basically a spooky Face Stab. Just my guess. Haven't spaded it, but it's elementary, my dear Wiki. Spooky element-ary, that is :P --Jimfromtx 17:12, 19 September 2007 (CDT)
Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to write this or not, but on the "It only takes one to tango like you do, because this particular tango is spooky" line, it could also be a reference to Dracula: Dead and Loving it, where Dracula dances with Mina and he doesn't appear in the mirror (therefore it seems she is dancing alone, hence the spookiness). Spading
Versus 61 ML fluffy bunnies, at 55 Muscle (they have 55 Defense), i do 1-3 damage with a 10 power weapon, as expected. Tango of Terror moves this up to 9-11 damage, which is consistent with an ML reduction by 8, and inconsistent with a reduction by 7 (Disco Dance II) or a reduction by 9 (Face Stab). So Tango of Terror is -8 ML. --MindlessGames 10:13, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
multiple monster effects
It only takes one to tango like you do, because this particular tango is spooky... Three of them seem to be a little freaked out by it, and take 45 damage. Monster Attack Monster attack power reduced by 24 Monster Defense Monster defense reduced by 24
seems occasionally the skill does 3 times normal effect --Uzziah 17:26, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- that would be against multiple monsters. --Evilkolbot 17:36, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
It only takes one to tango like you do, because this particular tango is spooky... Both of them seems to be a little freaked out by it, and takes 34 damage. Monster attack power reduced by 16 Monster defense reduced by 16
- against a pygmy assault squad --Uzziah 12:36, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Momentum
Does this skill get any sort of damage bonus from Disco Momentum?--Lxndr (talk) 22:27, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
